    We have a rule at our place. No guns, no parachutes in the cars outside overnight. That's where most thefts occur. Jumper I know had his rig stolen from his truck in the driveway, leaving it in there overnight to get a fast start to the DZ in the morning. Like it takes all of 5 seconds to scoop that bag up and carry it out. Funny thing was, this guy was a cop. Talk about should have known better.

    Best be lookin' over your shoulder 'cause Vskydiver's gaining on ya. She makes a pretty good one too. Tonight our son flies in and we've got house guests and dinner guests, so won't be the cozy romantic evening, but we've got plenty of those ahead and behind.

    Damn, I don't think I could have pulled that off when I was single (or now, for that matter). My hat's off to you. I usually just walked up and started talking to them about them, smiled. It that didn't work, they weren't into me.

    True. Maybe I will tonight. That's how I watch football (American) BTW. Soccer? I DVR the whole game and watch it ALL on F/F.

    One of my eating habits they say is peculiar? Doing pie a la mode with chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla. I think it's great but some say it's gross.

    I don't make it a point to watch any of it, but last night I watched a few events. I like women's figure skating (go figure), any kind of racing event, Nordic ski flying and a few other events. But with the huge number of commercials I was having to sit thru, I kept channel surfing back to the NHRA top fuel event on another channel. That's another sport I enjoy.

    Having raised four fairly good kids, I have to say that it's not possible to control an adult child. You may guide them, offer advice, try to lead by example and talk things over with them, but I don't think you'd be able to control Miley. She could just get a restraining order. With that said, JB's dad on the plane was setting a bad example. I have nothing against smoking pot, but being rude and abusive to the flight attendant? Really? His dad should have manned up a little.

    Bungee jumped 3 times. I'd be glad to go again. It's a fun little rush but no way as good as skydiving. I think they are guessing that you're very young due to your syntax and punctuation. Obviously part of the smart phone generation.

    Not quite true ~ If one pilot leaves the cockpit/box office, the other one puts on his/her mask until they both are seated & strapped in up front again. And, as you well know, "smoke in the cockpit" is another very good reason to don the masks. I've worked a couple of those flights over the years.

    They could tell you were uptight. You seem to have a lot of negative visualization on each jump. They were trying to adjust your arousal level down to a more optimal level. Sorry the sport hasn't been what you've hoped it would be. It IS supposed to be fun. I was nervous for my student jumps, but kept my focus on the goals and had fun learning to skydive. Skydiving is a journey, not a destination. Try to enjoy each moment of it as it comes. You say your landings are bad? How HWP are you and in how good of shape? PM me if you like.

    I grew up in Texas and studied Latin as a kid. And I used to speak Latin with a Texas accent.

    Very good point. May you never quit learning, never think that you've achieved peak performance. The absolute best people in our sport are very humble people who are constantly striving to improve.
