Jumper was jumping a wingsuit and on his main parachute opening it started to make a rapidly increasingly rate of speed turn. The jumper cutaway from this malfunction at under 500 feet and this was not enough altitude to allow the reserve to open fully.

What version Premiere are you using? VOB is not a valid format for Premeire anyways. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

So what setting do you shoot your stills at ?
PhreeZone replied to sky-pimp's topic in Photography and Video
None of the consumer bodies like XXXD from Canon have Spot metering unless you hack the firmware to unlock the feature. Spot metering was introduced on their Pro-sumer side with the XXD series of cameras. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com -
Hit me up on PSN, username there is same as here. I'm at Prestige level closing in on the Veteran level (1000 kills) on the UPM45 again. I so miss all the kills I racked up to get to the Prestige level! Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Only reason to ever shoot with an F stop at 22 is trying to get a depth of field that is equal to infinity and in Skydiving that's just not needed. Stop it down to the sweet spot on the lens (around f8-12) and stay there since it will give you good DOF still but lets you speed the shutter up a lot to lost the motion blur that slower shutters will bring with them. Its annoying to see a nicely composed photo and to have the jumpsuit a massive blur from flapping and when you look at the properties the shutter is really slow because they had set the aperture way too small. Some people like that from the artistic side but I'm not one of those people. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com -

The 28mm is a different choice for a lens for jumping... I change my settings on every jump depending on what the light is doing, there is no set format I always use but I'll tend to use TV mode and speeds around 320 with the ISO at 200 for most shots and then will change the ISO and speeds around as the sun comes or goes with clouds. I'll use either the Kit lens or the Canon 10-22 Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com -
Why are there more C licenses than B???
PhreeZone replied to cctpud01's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
It used to be that the A was at 20, B was at 50, C was 100 and D was 200. At the rate of active jumping it made little sense to get a license at 50 and then again 50 jumps later for the B and C so people would just do the A and C and pay for the C only but take the B and C tests together. I've only got a C and a D. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com -
In 6 months what ever is hot now will be old tech and we'll be onto something new and better. Save your money until you are ready to jump it and then look for what we recommend. I'm yet to meet someone that can buy it now, assemble it and jump it months if not years later. Everyone that's tried that ends up jumping it with in a few weeks. If you can provide links to ones that need cleaned up we can try to get to them. I looked a few years ago and had a list of about a dozen or so that needed cleaned up including a DZ that had not been at that location for 6 years but was keeping the listing active anyways since they linked it to their operation at another city. Don't forget to save money to pay taxes on this at the end of the year. They will send you a 1099 for the value of the trip, you might be hit with owing several hundred dollars. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Wow.. the irony of this post and who posted it makes me laugh. Chris is right, the rules did change. We all had to sign a form since we are now being managed by a corporation that stated that we would erase all posts that some one might find offensive before the sale would occur. Remi was grandfathered in but other wise some of his posts would now need to be removed and as such his account would be disabled, you know like the rest of the accounts that were disabled in the Great Purging of 2008 which was followed closely by the Great Account Disabling of 2009. We are still trying to come up with a name for our 2010 project to disable all the accounts of the people that cause the most amount of trouble. Quade is the one that is building the list for that project and let me tell you, a few of those people on the list will be surprised when their name is notified. I know I thought a few of those people should be allowed to stay but let me tell you.. SkyMama had some pretty good arguments and well.. you just don't want to argue with her since she'll win or will smack you down until you give up and let her win. Following the evolution for the site then the chaos will be good right? Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Call Sherry at the phone number on her website. Shes really busy but has always been great about returning voice mails left for her or answering the phone. I've spent over $1500 on suits through her so far and I'm looking at another suit now, She makes really good stuff! Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

One of the jumpers in the video forum I think works for them in their photo group. Look for some posts about them in there and he can get you the details on it. Also Peter Shankman did a ride with them in the last year or so and posted about it and his Dad's time. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

It was the Sigma 14 Asp, not the Canon L , it was in very used condition when I got it. I was jumping it on my XTi. I wish I had the $ for the 14L... Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

I had a Canon 14mm ASP that I jumped for a bit that had the same issue. I think part of it is that on a lot of lenses like this the glass is just so thick that it does not have the ability to adjust in temperature at the rate the air temp changes in free fall so the glass remains cooler and then fogs up until it warms up. I tried one jump where I kept the lens in my jumpsuit and put it on right before exit and it seemed to do better but in the end it was not worth the issues and complications for me so I sold it. Lazlo has the lens now and I hear he got some great photos out of it so I'm impressed he managed that. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

They play the odds. If you do 15,000 tandems in a year and injure 1-2 people over 18 thats not bad. If you only end up only doing 200 a year under 18 tandems what are the odds that that person injured will be under 18? Odds are pretty long that its going to be the underage person. Thats $40,000 in income that you are gambling will not sue. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Because the kids are not racing for NASCAR any more then they are playing for the Yankees since they are on a Tee ball team The individual facilities that host these events have the liability and do not have a national oversight association that issues ratings for them. Also you tend to see more age/size limitation on the carts they are in. The typical 8 year old is in a go cart that is limited to something like 10-20cc and will do 15-30 mph max. This lets them not get into conditions that are overly dangerous and they are not in the control by another driver. If there was a way to create more age approriate conditions like limiting the freefall to 60 mph and the canopy was unable to get into a situation where they could make a low turn or hurt themselves then it could happen. Liability is the main reason, USPA is in the list and now they can't get removed. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Jumper was exiting at 4500 feet for a clear and pull but during the exit it seems that he became entangled in his own gear due to an unstable exit and this resulted in a horseshoe. Jumper was unable to clear this malfunction.
