**Well I'm Screaming For Vengeance** i know this is going to sound really wierd, but i didn't associate the canopy manufacuturer name "vengence" with the song by judas priest until you brought it to my attention, but just know i have NO intention of flying one anytime soon, i have live for 43 years now, and trust me when i tell you i've seen a lot of people die, and i've lived long enough to realize my mortality, be safe, NO ONE lives forever! Richard "What The F**K Was That" for once this was my actual thought at 2K today in the saddle, and a jumper falls past me at 120 MPH, then deploys 5 seconds later...............i TRIPPED, then i went and "discussed" it with him on the L.Z. i know ya'll are tired of hearing it, but be safe.............

.........i've downsized wisely, not to say i haven't made any mistakes. i've downsized from a 280-230-210-190-now a 170, putting adaquate jumps on each canopy, and as i said in my previous post, i don't have the experience to even attempt a "high performance landing" i stood each canopy up i've flown and learned a lot of flight charistics before downsizing to each one. my ultimate goal is of course to learn, and perform "high performance landings" but i'm doing it in baby steps. i sought the counsil of a learned colleague each time before downsizing. i don't reccomend everyone doing as i do, but whatever you do, just do it safely! with my current canopy, i have just 3 flights on it, and it has done nothing out of the ordinary so far except glide a lot more on landing, which is what i was looking for. and i don't believe a 1.4-1.6 wing is too high as long as you don't do anything silly. :) Richard "All Debts Are Paid Baby" Snoop Doggy Dog"

....this is terrible news, my heart is with the jumper who is injured. everytime this happens, it just "stabs" me in the heart. one thing i think we all need to think about, is when we all first initially started sky diving, they made damn sure we could do rw, track away, deploy our mains and save our lives. i don't know about you guys/gal, but i don't know NEAR enough to even attempt a "high perfromance" landing. i think canopy skills should be more emphacized in the initial training. that in conjunction with "smaller is keweler" thats burns me up. i know of a few guys who can do these types of landings, but they "know" what ther're doing, training is the "key" element we're missing here. just my .02 USD. be safe guys/gals "low ground turns kill" i'm out........... i'm a male lesbian.............what does that make me? normal? first time i "got me some" i thought to myself "man........you're REALLY gonna love this!" the thought of sucking a d**k has NEVER even crossed my mind! does that mean i dislike others for the're sexual preference? i used to, but now, as long as they don't fool with me, ah, what the hell! hook: what effect, if any, does canopy size, type and wingload have on "snap turns?" could i do the same manuevers with my hornet that you do? (of course on a slower, and smaller scale) i've seen you fly many times, and have observed closely each time, and my engineer mind is going crazy with physics and dynamics, etc...i know there is probably no easy explanation for it, but any input you might have would be appreciated..... i'm not taking sides here, but i believe that pm's are what they are, and should be utilized for (for lack of a better word) gibberish, so one shouldn't be upset if recieving a rude p.m. *delete* ignore it. take care....... Richard "The World Needs A Hero!"

......i thought it was just me. but now looking back, when i stop, someone else just picks it back up. i've seen a lot of deleted posts, and locked out threads lately, it's nice NOT to be the biggest asshole on dz.com! life's been good to me so far! yo, rhino.......chill bro! everythings kewel.......it's just a matter of time before HH get's on that ass. (I Know) peace, i'm out.......everybody be safe this weekend, and have fun! Blue Skies, Hot Days: Richard "Are You The Klown That Just Funneled Our Formation?"

this months parachutists mag has a "photo finish" of ez-e, and stevie boyd, excellent exit from the aircraft, and excellent camera work by josh hill. we'll be seeing more of these guys in the future! take care, be safe. :) Richard "Gravity Is My Friend"

while the negative press is ever present, we have to know as sky divers, it's up to each, and every one of us individually to be as safe as we possibly can, and look out for each other, so we do not create more fodder for them. (the press) as for all the press being negative, i dissagree, joan lunden did a story on the golden knights, she even did a tandem, then went back up, and did a rw tandem, it was great! the part i hate is when movies like "dropzone" are put out there with seemingly endless minutes of freefall, hooking up tandems in midair, etc.........very missleading Richard "The Only Thing We Have To Fear, Is Fear Itself"

blue skies forever brother, my heart goes out to his family and friends....... Richard no clever quip this time :(

i prefer that no one ever check my gear without my request, and i watch for people who like to do that very thing. i'm really careful about my gear as well. as for someone "voluntarilly checking my gear, they would get there hand slapped away. i jump with a lot of people that know me, and a lot of us fly the same brand(s) of equipment, and we give each other gear checks. having said that, i have told others, when they asked me to give them a pin check, and if i'm not familiar with there gear, i will simply tell them that i feel i'm not qualified to check there gear, simple enough. be safe, take care. Richard "It's Not The Fall That Hurts You, It's The Sudden Stop" I was on the load zenmeister was referring to, if i would have been that particular jumper, i would have rode the plane down. for the simple reason that a "chain" of events had already begun, and he was going to be jumping with others on that particular dive. my opinion only......

i'm there! renting an rv for the trip. cant wait to jump out of all that kewel aircraft. i've already planned, and plotted my x's & y's. Richard "If You Have To Ask How Much It Costs, You Probably Can't Afford It"

**Again all of you canopy bad asses loading at 9.2:1 this is my HUMBLE opinion.** it's none of my buisness really, because i am not one of what you refer to above, but in my HUMBLE opinion, you could've left that phrase out, surely you not in the "complex" stage of your career? be kewel! take care......... airann: Thanks, really.........she's fine. we have a local contractor replacing the roof today (i hope) i'm still on the drilling rig, and my wife is attending her classes today in b/cs. it's unbelievable that the wind has so much power, it picked up an 8000# building and completely removed it, but never even touched her car.....go figure. i'll tell her you inquired, again, thanks.....
