If you really want some, go to the pharmacy counter in Boots and ask for Paracodol (or the Boots own brand generic version is just as good). Vicki
-
You can get co-codamol over the counter in the UK!!! I had co-dydramol after my wisdom teeth surgery - that was good stuff. I was told that I coudl combine it with ibuprofen if need be - and that was really good! I had morphine once as a kid (after surgery - felt like I was floating!) and I have also had dihydrocodiene which was pretty excellent too. Vicki

I seem to remember that a Pro Track needs at least a 5 second delay before it will log a jump in the normal mode. Vicki

I personally don't like hackey sacks, but you really don't need to worry about not being able to feel it - they are probably the easiest handle of the lot to feel and get a good grip on - even with thick gloves on. Make sure you spend some time with an instructor doing practice pulls on the ground before you jump your new gear and you will see that you have nothing to worry about. Vicki

Is it definitely flu rather than a very nasty cold? I had flu about a month ago and it absolutely wiped me out. I was aching all over and running a high fever. Those are pretty classic symptoms of flu. The advice I was given was to stay inside (not that I would have been able to go out even if I'd wanted to), keep warm and drink plenty of fluids. I was also told that there was no need to see a doctor unless/until the flu went to my chest. Mine did after about a week (bronchitis) and the doctor gave me a week long course of antibiotics. All told, I was over the worst (back to work) in 2 weeks but was feeling very weak for a further 2 weeks. Hope you feel better soon! Vicki

So... go on... make me really jealous... did you have as much fun as I think you probably did? Is this a boogie I need to make it to next year??? Vicki

Tough one... definitely not chocolate! US chocolate tastes terrible to us Brits! CDs are a lot cheaper in the US than over here and would be cheap to post (does this 78 year old have a CD player?!). Don't send DVDs though because US DVDs won't work on most UK DVD players. I guess your best bet may be some local to you candies/boiled sweets. hth! Vicki

OK, a less vague answer -I've assumed it is decent tea from Whittards and I have looked up the postage rates and assumed it will be classed as a "small package". The US is World Zone 1. 125g bag is £3 – postage would be £1.75 – total cost £4.75 or ~ $9 250g bag is £6 – postage would be £2.89 – total cost £8.89 or ~ $16 hth! Vicki

Tea is really not particularly expensive over here. Nor is it particularly heavy and so shouldn't cost all that much to mail to you.

Happy Birthday Clay! May all your sheep be beautiful today! Vicki

I was at Eloy the last two years!!! Or perhaps you didn't notice me there... I was at Empuriabrava the two years before that and had great weather both times. I hear the weather has been dubious for the last two Christmas Boogies there though. Still, I'm taking my chances and I'll be there this year. Vicki

Male/female? Any particular size? Any specific experience level required? Vicki

You (like us!) will be spoilt for choice! Check out the world's largest vertical wind tunnel at Bedford orAirkix at Milton Keynes. Enjoy! Vicki

Agreed! -
If it bothers you that much, put another poll up on the e-mail group! I really don't care where we drink - both places have their plus points but since a group decision has been taken to stay at the MP, arguing abot going somewhere else seems pointless. You say not many people voted... that means that of those who could be bothered to express an opinion, the majority wanted to stay at the MP! I take it that those who didn't vote didn't care. The decision on where to go was made perfectly fairly with everyone given a chance to express their views and in the full knowledge that we would be charged for going to the MP. Let's return to Nigel's original question... Vicki

Agreed. But the group voted to stay at the MP despite this fact. I say we just split the £10 between us - the closer we get to Christmas the more packed the place is going to get and the more necessary it will be to book to get a space. Vicki
