    I am mentoring a young man in completing his high school senior project on the history of skydiving. I would like to put him in touch with Lew Sanborn as a part of his sub-section on the history of USPA. If someone could PM me D-1's email address and/or phone number I would really appreciate it.     What kind of Altimaster do you own? If it's an Altimaster II or Galaxy, it has a user-replaceable lens. They are cheap - about $8.00 or so at a gear store. Cheap enough to carry an extra so you can keep your stuff looking spiffy. Arrive Safely John

    **Spoilers Below!** I was disappointed with the episode. There were some obvious unexpected turns . . . Tom being gay (but what does that really contribute to the tale as a whole), Carl and Danielle being shot (I don't think Danielle is dead either). The whole Michael piece was informative, but the whole sequence about him and the boat really didn't reveal anything new that we didn't already know. It just confirmed a bunch of stuff. Now I have to wait a few weeks to get my fix again . . . Arrive Safely John

    The way I read it: -As long as you're current, you are OK to do tandems through 30 September on your manufacturers rating alone (Iraq deployment notwithstanding) -You will not be able to do tandems 1 October forward until you convert your rating to a USPA TI rating.     I do the same thing with a portable HD. You have to plug the drive in so it shows up in the same order it did when you added all of your music to your iTunes library. I plug in my HD first and it shows up as G:/ - then I plug in my iPod and open iTunes. Once, Windows assigned another dirve letter to my HD, and I had to go assign the correct drive letter: -Start/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Computer Management -Disk Management -Right click on your portable HD -Choose "Change Drive Letter and Paths" -Click "Change" and continue . . .
