This is precisley what I thought to myself the few times people have been in airpsace above me. Luckily I'm like 6 foot 1 and a bean pole so I don't have too much trouble flat tracking. Awareness/visualizatoin is 90 percent of the sport IMHO so you are on track to becoming a great jumper if you are already remembering the details you've pointed out!     In all my years of jumping in the midwest, the air never felt like it feels at MileHi or Calhan in Colorado - not even remotely close. I fly a Stiletto 135 when I'm back in the midwest, and my Colorado rig is a Sabre135 and the Sabre out here still feels faster overall than my Stiletto back home... Not to say that isn't true, I've just never experienced that in 9 years of jumping in the midwest and Colorado... -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

    No compared to EVERY OTHER sport I participate in, Skydiving is much much safer. Even after losing friends, I know damn well that all three of them lost their lives living which is more than I can say for the majority of the population running around the good ol USofA... -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --

    Calhan is the highest civilian DZ in the US. When you get to Quincy you will wonder where all of your speed has gone - two completely different beasts. If you can land in Calhan, Quicny won't be anything. I've had my share of "interesting" landings at Calhan and learned VERY VERY fast that you really need to be as conservative as you were when initially learning swooping techniques there as that place will eat ANYONE up alive regardless of their experiences elsewhere if they've never been to Calhan b4.     Yah I'm positive, I only make it out to the DZ about 10-15 days a year here in Colorado because my work takes me elsewhere. I haven't made too many acquaintances up there, I ususally just hook up with someone when we are about to load or do video for a RW or sit fly group.     Not to mention with all of the black mold issues lately, do not file for water damage. Many insurance companies are really fearing the black mold and do not want to cover people at all once they've filed for any type of water damages in states where black mold is prevelant... -- (N.DG) "If all else fails – at least try and look under control." --
