What's your wing loading? I'm loading my FOX's at .82 and my Troll DW at .78.

Hey, what hotel is closest to the Moab Brewery? Just in case of bad weather.

Back in 1988 as a Recon Marine I made a jump from 37200 ft with five other Marines a few Special Forces, and one CCT guy over Guam. I remember we had to pre-breathe O2 for and hour or so before we even took off. All the jumpers fared well but two of the crew members of the aircraft spent some time in the "Chamber" that evening. The thing that I remember the most is the extreme cold and watching the needle on my altimeter haul ass the first part of the jump. Goggles freezing up and some jumpers suffered frost bite (Or freezer burn) on their faces where our mask and goggles didn't cover. We landed all over the island that day. I can't say I would like to do it again. *** "When it comes to BASE, I'll never give advice, only my opinion"

I see jumpers using both side and top mount camera helmets. I sure there are pro's and con's to both. Would like to hear some opinions about this. Maybe even some suggestion on a good helmet. I like the side mount type helmets but was wondering about riser strikes on the camera. I am talking strictly for BASE. I have a PC-105. Thanks "When it comes to BASE, I'll never give advice, only my opinion"

Great post KT. DO

I don't know? Just look at Jen's avatar. Looks like when she showed up at Kjerag with a velcro rig they threw her right off. "When it comes to BASE, I'll never give advice, only my opinion"

Is there any evdience that this pack job out preforms the traditional pack job? (In terms of onheading preformance) I can see where it should help control steering lines until the nose has started to inflate. "When it comes to BASE, I'll never give advice, only my opinion"

St. Louis crew wants to send it's thanks to the ABP and the local jumpers who attended.

Hey Tom, What I'd really like to see are these techniques in action. (Risers and Toggles) Having someone shoot video from the top, of both techniques with the same canopy. If I lived closer to the bridge I would do it myself. I used to be a toggle grabber but I had a object strike trying to avoid a underhung antenna in zero wind using toggles. (Not using the technique Johnny has explained) Now I'm training myself to go for risers. "When it comes to BASE, I'll never give advice, only my opinion"

Buy more rigs. "When it comes to BASE, I'll never give advice, only my opinion"

Let's not forget that if you release your toggles and still have an object strike you might get knocked sinceless and drop one or both of them. Then you'll be in for a fun ride. I myself am breaking the habit of going for toggles. Risers are the way to go. My 2 cents "When it comes to BASE, I'll never give advice, only my opinion"

This thread almost makes me want to go put my sliders back on and tie them down instead of taking them off. "When it comes to BASE, I'll never give advice, only my opinion"

Let's not forget the affects of the overstuffed fanny pack thats like a lunch box strapped to your waste. I don't have very many terminal jumps but I could tell a difference when I jumped without it. "When it comes to BASE, I'll never give advice, only my opinion"

I jump regularly with a jumper who weighs 120 lbs under a FOX 205. He uses a 48" ZP PC all the time with no problems. "When it comes to BASE, I'll never give advice, only my opinion"

The Ameritel has always treated us great. As long as they don't have anything going on in the conference room you can use it. Just vacuum and put the chairs back when your done.
