    In Brasil, either. Maybe the guy just let it expire and ignore it. Or a friend pack it, or himselft. Who knows? The point is that the electronic components may be corrupted causing an unexpected deployment. As I said, the security factor may extend the lifetime for years but, who knows? I prefer to jump with none than jump with an expired.

    What do you think about jumping a expired Cypres (over 12 years and three months)? Do you prefer to jump a expired one than jump with none? I am asking this because in the brazilian forum, a guy told that he prefer to jump a expired one. I do not. In my opinion, I know that there is a security factor that probably increase the lifetime but, jumping an expired unit is like jumping with a clock bomb on your back. I would jump with none (actually, my Cypres is just coming and I am jumping with none).

    I have one IP-5 and it cannot firewire with DV´s, but you can record video and sound from DV´s camera using the RCA cable or the S-Video. The quality is the same and you only have to buy some RCA "female" plugs. For editing you can use the Pinnacle 8 or the MovieShaker provided by Sony. But if I had to buy a new camera, I would buy a DV.

    I know that! That's why I didn't jump! At least it was a great free ride. The weather was great and the view fantastic. I took one old photo from Rio. It was me when I finished AFF.

    There are no answer for my case. Look what happened to me: I did the AFF and when I was jumping to get my A, a whuffo friend of mine just told me that one american friend of him (I live on Brazil) leaved a rig at his place. I took the rig to learn how to pack. Well, when I took my A and jumped the 210 and 190, I started to look after this american guy. I found him and told I wanted to buy it. A year passed and I never got an answer. I phoned, e-mailed and tryied to reach him by some friends. What would you do? Jumped that shit?

    This saturday I was on the first load of the day and the comunication system just failed at 7.5 K. Whe were not allowed to jump and the plane was just above the DZ. I was at the door and almost jumped anyway... The worst part was the way back. Watching the land getting bigger inside the plane was one of the sadiest ride I ever took.

    There is another documentary that Adrian and Katerina explains the development of the wing suit after Patrick´s death. They said their work was done to complete Gayardon´s work. They also said that Gayardon was a visionary and changed the way people skydive today. I don’t think they want people think Adrian was the first with wing suit and certainly the studies made by them on the wind tunnel, turn the flight safer.

    Why you people loose your time trying to explain one thing that every resonable skydiver have to know? Skydive hurts and can kill. The stats are not at our side. There are plenty of "jeronimos" doing things above our heads that we are not in handle. I am not an experienced skydiver with 69 jumps on my back and I won´t be when I reach 5.000, so let´s follow the pattern and listen what the old guys have to say....

    It is great! I jumped from a balloon at 3K. Remmember, to get into terminal, it will take 10 secs, around 1K. So, do not be scared if your canopy take more time to open...

    Tudo tranquilo! When the last load came with some students inside (they didn´t jump, cause the CB clouds were at 4.000 and they had to pull at 5.000), the track jump we were planing to do, was canceled. The rain start to fall few minutes later, and then came the ice blocks. I jumped with little rain before but I would be scared to fly in the middle of that storm.... Um ótimo 2004 para você e bons saltos !

    I guess between stage 1 and stage 2, almost all your whuffo friends start talking about going to the DZ to try a tandem. After stage 3, none of them tryied out! I don't know if it happens to you, but after some beers, all of them start talking all over again, don't matter what stage you are - but now I don't give a shit about it!!!

    In my country it is not difficult to see the weather changes almost instantly. From big blue to huge dark clouds takes just few minutes. What do you do, if you are at 13.000 and the clouds at 4.500? It is not raining yet, but who knows? And if you jump and you pull at 3.000 and then, the rain start to fall? (For example, this weekend, the strength of the rain was too big, that ice blocks was falling. Its summer here and it was a tropical rain). And the canopy? They can fly under strong rain (or ice blocks)?

    I jumped from a balloon few weeks ago. It is great! Yes, you will land outside and I jumped from 3k. You will have to wait until get close to terminal to pull (it takes 10 s - 2K). And last advice, pack to a quickly open!!!

    For everyone who use an IP5/IP7 Sony Micro MV, I found that Pinnacle 8.7 capture mmv format. It is better than the movieshaker and much faster.

    It seems to work only with DV. The program don`t capture MICRO MV (MPEG2). But thanks anyway

    I have one DCR-IP5 and I used MovieShaker to capture my videos (provided by Sony). But I moved and I lost my CD. Does anyone knows any other program to capture from this camera? I had to format my HD and I lost the program.

    My second jump was the worst. I was just thinking what I was doing it again... But after that I was just sure I love that sheet. The nerves goes away but when you lost the fear, you problably will get yourself hurt. Respect the nature. Enjoy your jumps and land safely.

    Well, I jumped a little bit far from you (thousands of miles) but if you come to Brazil, I will be glad to arrange one load for you!!! But you have to try it! The acceleration that you fell is really great! The silent and the lack of air really make the difference.
