  1. Hahahahaha!!! But it was ok when Cary owned the sign that was on it.
  2. Where does the relative wind come from when you are in freefall?
  3. With the converted 210 already out there I would think this would be a little easier.
  4. Wouldn't that depend on what kind of flying they plan to do?

  6. Hotel info and rates will be posted tomorrow, here and on RoamingDZ.com. I'll ask Skymama to add it to the first post so it will be easy to find.
  7. They were trying to get rid of them a few years ago.
  8. And maintain disipline during the day. That's right kids Skymama has full moderator privileges at the boogie but instead of a ban button she has a paddle.
  9. Not close to NY but we will have balloons at the St.Pattys Boogie in Fitzgerald,Ga. in March.
  10. It was an act of calendar craftsmanship to work around all the different events in March. I, for one, appreciate the effort.
  11. Robbie, You know how to think shit through.
  12. Y'all party like rock stars and then highjack a bus and head north when it's over.
  13. The one I landed was loaded at 1.7 , I would say the type and size would be more of a factor. Larger/student type canopies being easier, smaller/higher performance canopies more critical on the stall. If I had to land mine again I'd come in with extra speed so I could plane out and slide in.
  14. I know quite a few people with a LOT more jumps than the original poster who have never landed on rear risers, and would probably not agree with this comment (that it is not very difficult). I would agree. The first time I landed on rears I had a broken steering line, I almost broke both my legs. I would agree it is not difficult but it should be practised in a low stress situation.
  15. The ones that date them all one at a time, yes. We have all seen them come and go. Either bored or ashamed to show their faces after a month or so. The guys who treat the students as new meat are doing a disservice to the sport also.
  16. Or,she could not date everyone at the DZ and maintain some respect.
  17. I think I have this figured out. He is some kind of fucking skygod/national champion and just can't stand all the fanfare he gets when he shows up at the DZ. He has elected to stay away so she will not be treated special for showing up with him. Or he's a dick and no one likes him or hes fucked all the DZ hoes and he doesn't want them to tell you what a bag of shit he is.
  18. No, he's not. Sorry. If your boyfriend was a skydiver, he would never have missed a trip to the DZ, let alone a trip to the DZ where his girlfriend was going to make a jump. Even if his back hurt, he didn't have to jump, but to not go to the DZ at all? While I"m leaning towards the "not a skydiver" side of this, there are other possibilities. For example, maybe he's a douchebag and nobody at the DZ likes him, so he doesn't want to go. Or maybe he got banned for doing something stupid. Who knows. There are lots of reasons for him to possibly make up reasons why he couldn't go jumping. He does sound like a tool box though. Or maybe just a small tool.
