Ok kids just a few day away from a long weekend on the beach and just a few quick notes. Hotel Room up for grabs.I have a room at the Destin Inn & Suites that we will not need.If you need a room contact me and I will help you get this room transferred into your name. Beach Cook Out.Let me know if y'all would like to do this again.It was a lot fun last time but it is a bit of a pain in the ass as well, we are cooking out on the beach.I don't mind bringing the stuff down I just want to know that everyone is not going to haul ass and go eat in town. If You Need It Bring It.As with most RoamingDZ events this is not an operating DZ so if you think you might need something bring it.I would highly recommend putting some thought into some shade tents for this event.If you bring a tent,bring something to tie it down with.I recommend those screw in dog stakes.We have some tents in the works but not enough for everyone.I saw some of those pop ups 10x10 tents at Wal-Mart the other day for $88.Hell of a deal and if you don't want to haul it around you can always donate it to the RoamingDZ We Are Guests.Please remember we are guests in this town and we are doing this on a public beach.So far we or any of the DZs that have done this have never had a problem with the city or local officials in Destin.Please lets keep it this way.The sun bathers have more right to be there than us.Let be polite to them. This looks like it may turn into one of the larger skydiving events to be held in Destin so please be careful.There is no need to land in the parking lot.Land out and talk to the WUFFOs.Sell a tandem.Maybe we can work out some compensation for bringing a tandem to the tent. Please help keep the trash picked up.We will have trash bags and there is a dumpster near by. .

Some of what your experiencing is you mind trying to fly the new canopy like the old ones.The Pilot wants to fly a little longer than those old student canopies but your brain is saying "my feet shold be on the ground by now".Relax and enjoy the canopy ride.It's easier to fly than it is to run. .

Can't say I would waist a pack job.Of course I never leave the DZ packed so if I had to take a break like that mine would still be un packed. .

I can hardly wait to see the looks when someone hooks in while ringing a cowbell .

I don't believe in the "Home Dropzone"concept.I believe the concept of a home dz causes alot of issues in our sport.I believe everyone should jump where they want when they want.You make more friends that way. .
