Mark your calendars boys and girls we're going back to the mountains.I guess that bonfire last year didn't scare anyone too bad cause they said we can come back. Basic info is this.First weekend of October thats the 6th-8th.Andrews,NC is in the western tip of North Carolina about 35 miles east of Chattanooga,TN. YES,North Carolina is close to Chattanooga. For those that have not been there it is a beautiful place to skydive.Andrews sits down in a valley between two mountain ranges.If you are in freefall at 4000ft everthing to the north and south is level with you.That weekend is also a full moon so it should be a spectacular time to be in the mountains.Cool skydives,cool weather and a bonfire under a full moon in the Blue Ridge Mountains Registration will be $20 with $23 jumps out of Skydive Atlantas Super Kingair.We will offer tandems,with price TBA.If there is enough interest we can have the plane up there on Friday or at least Friday afternoon for a few loads.If there is not enough interest for that we may plan another rafting trip for Friday.I will probably be there on Thursday night. We are allowed to camp on the airport and there is a hotel close by.There is contact info in last years thread at RoamingDZ.com in the Archived Forum until I get the info posted here.There will be a thread at RoaminDZ for the Friday interest. Quick side note:I have locked registration to RoamingDZ.com because of the asshole spammers.When I got home last night I had to remove 25 usernames and delete a lot of posts.Registration to RoamingDZ.com is now by approval only.Meaning after someone creates a user name it has to be approved before it will be active.Please tell this to anyone you send to the site.I will be creating a Welcome Forum to explain this.In the mean time if you have a few minutes beat the hell out of a spammer.I can't believe these people don't have better things to do with their time.And as for the pic that was sent out again yeaterday,everyone knows that asian guys have little pee pees,that has to be photo shopped. .

Made 4 jumps from a Cessna ranging from 1600-1900 with a Spectre 170.I had line twists on the forth one and decided it was time for a beer. Winds gusting to about 40mph took a student canopy(about a 230 if I remember) and made a kite out of it. Tied a round to a truck bumper and gave people rides up and down the runway. .

When I go visit my mom in Maine I always go to a Cessna DZ.The people are just nicer. .

I'm sorry to say this boogie may be canceled.The fucker that owns the local hamburger stand teamed up with the guy that owns the laundry mat went to the city council and told them it was unsafe for us to wash socks and cook burgers at the same location.I am currently looking at the legal ramifications of having the boogie anyway. .
