    I was sitting at my computer doing some invoices when I got a PM from a friend that a plane had hit one of the towers.I thought to myself,"So jackass must have flown a Cessna into a building while lost in the clouds".Then a while later another PM announcing the second plane.I spent the rest of the day in front of the TV unable to believe what I was seeing. .

    That would depend on if they try to fix the problem with lift power or your wanting to jump or just party.You can probably jump all you want leading up to New Years but when the weekend rolls around they are running 60-ways that tie up the airplanes.Last year by 3pm on Saturday they were manifested through dark. .

    I am sorry to announce the the Mountain Boogie is cancelled.I recieved wordfrom the airport last week that a runway resurfacing project that was scheduled for the month of September has been pushed back by two weeks.That puts the airport closing from September 15th till October 14th.As you can see this does not fit into our schedule at all.I have spent this last week looking for a suitable location to move the event with no luck.A combination of airport managers that didn't want us,those that needed to have meetings with every official in town first and the problem of finding an airport that could provide us with Jet-A fuel has left me with no other option.I am sorry to have to make this announcment. .

    I think you would have a hard time reopening Monroe.There has been talk of reopening Statesboro,we'll see.I think a DZ in that area would do ok with a Cessna. .
