I have heard complaints about the units people have gotten.They are kind of like U-Haul.You don't get to go and pick out the unit you want.I guess it depends on what you are getting it for,short trip or long haul. .

I already have a place to park the RV.I just didn't want to have to drive it into town.We are staying a couple of miles north east of town.Looks like about 3 or 4 miles from the bridge. .

Looks like we will be stopping by Bridge Day on the way back from visiting my Mom in Maine.So far the closest place I have found to park the RV is about 5 miles from the bridge.I would love to hookup with some of our DZ.com/RoamingDZ folks and maybe catch a ride to town.So who is headed to Bridge Day? .

Do a tandem or level 1 AFF,then if you don't have the desire quit.You can buy yard darts on e-bay .

The biggest problems I had were runway lenth and no Jet-A.I only ran into one or two assholes along the way.But I'll tell you this.We will skydive in Franklin,NC one day just out of spite. .

We will probably be there just to see all of our friends but it would be nice to see alittle gratitude out of the DZ for all of the people that come there to jump and make it one of the best places to be on New Years.I feel if they don't address the lift power problem and announce what they are going to do, the crowd this year will be noticeably smaller. .

I won't do that. The details do not need to be discussed on a public forum. Suffice it to say that the aircraft owner made the best decision he could for his business - likely any of us would have made the same decision if they were him. I will not badmouth him here or anyplace else. Am I happy about this situation? Not even close to happy, but again, I'll get over it. Am I a bit upset with the people who won't be coming simply because there won't be a turbine available for the entire event? Yeah, I am, but I'll get over that too. Am I going to let that all that keep me from having a kick ass time this weekend? Absolutely not. I really hope others feel the same way... I thought DZ.com was censoring my post. I would not hesitate for a moment to post the details of what happened to the plane.I think that everyone should feel personally screwed by this DZO.I would not and DO NOT support people that do business this way. Lisa I'm sure you have put together a fine event and everyone will have a good time despite this stumbling block.And now you know who not to do business with next time.I am sorry I won't make it.A combination of my Mountain Boogie fiasco,recent vehicle expense and the damn termites killed my long range boogie plans. .
