How would you feel if you opened the phone book as discoverd ads for five or six DZs in the area, only to later find that those DZs don't actually exist? Would that be the 'best' ad? How about you call those 'DZs', and they continue to represent themselves as actual entities? What if you found out they don't even operate one actual DZ in the area, and are just a booking service who are going to charge you more than you would pay be just dealing directly with an actual DZ? Do you really think this sounds like a good business idea? You would have done this if you thought of it first? You think this is helping the sport grow? Ummm, that sounds like the Macon phone book.

The sad thing is even if the other lawsuits against Skyride are won we will still be stuck with the assholes because the claim will then be "Well the dropzones didn't do anything it was Skyride". Just one more example of "What is legal is not always right and what's right is not always legal".

I got a call last night telling me that our friend skinnyshrek had passed away. I am posting this for one reason Because he was one of the biggest postwhores I know and he would have posted it himself if he could. At this time there is no indication of the cause of death. To put some misinformation to rest, the first report I recieved said he was shot, This is NOT true. Words can not describe what I am feeling right now.I talked to Lee several times a week and could alway count on Lee to brighten my spirit. I will mis him deeply. If anyone knows a reason this should not be posted please PM me and I will remove it.

Skydiving is scary. Are you kidding me? People have died doing that. To the OP. i hit my elbow once on a sharp corner. For a long time when I woke up in the morning my middle and third fingers would bend but would not straighten out. I would have to move them manually a few times to get them to move. It healed over time.

Years ago I almost killed myself in a weather related accident. A few years later I got in the back of an airplane with someone I trusted and they almost killed me. I almost learned the hard way. That was the basis of my post in the original incident thread. If your going to travel in small aircraft trusting the pilot is probably not enough and you better know and understand what get-home-itis is. This accident has nothing to do with Cessna and I hope the pilot comes back to haunt his parents. I would mine.

That doesn't answer my question. WHY is it much easier to run as a write in? If I knew how one actually gets on the ballot I might understand why. I don't remember the whole process but I know you have to go out and gather signatures

A lawsuit like this is comlpete bull shit. The aircraft was flying, in one piece and the engine was running at the time of the crash. Cessna has no more control over a pilot loosing control of an airplane ,either from ice or other causes, then Ford has control of someone speeding or running a red light and killing everyone in the car. The ADs that Cessna issued covers any icing issue. The Caravan is no more dangerous then any other aircraft in icing conditions. Bottom line, knowing what I know about aircraft and weather, I would not have been on that aircraft that night. If anyone should be sued it is the pilots estate but that aint where the money is and that my friends is the way our system works.
