***You have 1300 jumps and have jumped alot of diffeerent gear??? what do you do with them? O.k you have been in the sport 38 years. so you have to upgrade so every now and then but how can you compare all the modern containers? I had a second hand vector 3 that was previously owned by airspeed (at least 1000 jumps by them), the next owner did a few hundred and then I got it and put more than 2500 jumps on it. I then sold it (cheap) and it was still as functional as it was when it was new. That rig did well in excess of 4000 jumps. The only thing that was wrong with it was that it was faded on the cordura, otherwise great. I changed the origonal BOC when it had about 3000 jumps. I recently bought 2 new microns and expect to have them for at least the next 6000 sport jumps I do. I would not recommend anythng else. Sturdy, safe, comfortable, looks good... Suter was a very positive and loving guy, he was always showing everybody how to have fun. I sure will miss his humor, company and 'eloquent' way of describing things. Hi all, For some reason I have to speak on behalf of the company rather than haveing a separate accounf to Skydive Franz so I can no longer post under Skydivefj as a representative of the company. In the end we have researched and contacted engineers, gas suppliers, gliding clubs, medical practitioners etc etc and in the end all roads lead to Mountain High. All the glider pilots I talked to get their systems from there and the major commercial skydiving operations here in NZ do also. I is going to cost us a little more than we expected but in the end it is best to have the best tool for the job... A Porter and a mountain High portable aviation oxygen system. I thank you all for your detailed and educational posts, some relevant and some not but all have given me/us a better idea of what we are dealing with. To clarify we will be using aviation grade oxygen and it costs very little to keep a J size cylender full. We will decant from this to our MH system. So you have clarified that according to your recollection or calculations there was a simultanious falure of all support allowing all the floors above the impact zone to fall (freefall?) as a solid block onto the lower floors resulting in a sudden jolt or impact causing the global collapse of the building/s. Though there are probably several problems with that concept as fire damage is not symmetrical and this tyoe of falure is inprecedented, we will go on and look at what was actually observed and compare to your presented hypothesis.
