Actually, that shot was taken by an Associated Press photographer. He wrapped his camera with several layers of bubble wrap and left it in the street. When the bulls came through, he triggered the shutter with a remote. No one was injured.

Spiderman II question: Did I understand this right?

Maybe it was spelled "tridium" in the script... -
One AAA is supposed to last 3-6 months.

My wife and I are looking for a replacement for our car since our old one was totalled a couple weeks ago. I would love to get a standard, but she's too "nervous."
-
You just push a button and vibrates until you push it again. Once you turn it on, you use it just like a normal razor. I, too, was pretty nervous about using it the first time. I imagined thousands of tiny razor cuts all over my face. But, like I said, it was pretty nice.
-
No, just my neck. I wouldn't be afraid to, though... The micropulses they talk about in the commercial? That's just their fancy way of saying the thing vibrates.

They were handing out the new mach 3 power razor at the grocery store, so I thought I'd check it out. The closeness of the shave was about the same as the normal mach 3, but with WAY less irritation. Seriously. WAY less. In fact, none at all. And I have realy sensitive skin. Just thought the guys out there might want to know, since I thought it would be the biggest waste of money ever.

anyone have any pictures of this helmet on somebody's head?

Thanks, everybody, for your advice. After a couple hours on the phone, I got the rental. The witness testimony opened up their pockets... Anyway, thanks again for your advice. I'm taking pictures tomorrow (probably).

She was given a ticket for running the red. She was the only driver ticketed in the incident. I told her insurance that, but they said they needed confirmation. From whom I don't know. I feel like I should just go ahead and get the rental since it was obviously her fault and the police have confirmed that, but I've never dealt with auto claims like this and don't want to get screwed.

So, on my way to work, this little old lady who doesn't speak any English runs a red light, hits my car and pushes me into the next lane where I'm t-boned by another car. She didn't even slow down for the red. Not even a little. I've filed claims with her insurance and with mine. My insurance requires a $200 deductible before they start paying out, so I'd kind of prefer to get the money from hers. They won't pay for a rental until they've established fault, but they said I could get one anyway and I might get reimbursed. She'd got Farmer's Insurance. Should I get the rental and pray for reimbursement? Or should I wait until they determine that it was her fault?

suggestions for dining and lodging in san diego
rocketfeuille replied to rocketfeuille's topic in The Bonfire
Hey everybody, I'm bringing my wife out to San Diego for our anniversary and was hoping to get some suggestions for a relatively nice place ($15-$25 per plate) to eat and a nice place to stay (either bed and breakfast or a nicely located hotel). Any thoughts? -
What makes you think that?

Hey everybody, A friend of mine is interested in adding still photography to his video jumps. I recommended the Canon Rebel D or D10, but both are out of his price range. What can he pick up for $600-$800 dollars that will support a remote shutter switch? Thanks for the help.

This one's for those who've worked with plexiglass... I'm thinking about making some frames for some of my photography and was considering placing the prints between two sheets of plexiglass with a small screw in each corner... What are my odds of success? How easy is it to work with plexiglass? How easy would it be for me to cut it? Put the screws in without cracking the whole thing? Thanks for your help.
