  1. Ok, great...now can we get back to running this God-damned fucking country? (no vanity implied...) Not sure why we ever had to vote on this in the first place....it just caused unnecessary division. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour

  3. I know we may have differences with interpretations, but it's mind boggling how one can read Paul's writings and come to that conclusion. It was Paul that fought the hardest against the judiazers in order keep the legalistic Judaic traditions from creeping in and overshadowing the christian gospel of grace. Galatians 2:16 yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.... Galatians 2:21 I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose. Paul also publicly rebuked Peter when he momentarily disassociated himself from the gentile Christians so that he would not be judged by other Jews who were visiting. Galatians 2:11-14 But when Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him in public, because he was clearly wrong. Before some men who had been sent by James arrived there, Peter had been eating with the Gentile believers. But after these men arrived, he drew back and would not eat with the Gentiles, because he was afraid of those who were in favor of circumcising them. The other Jewish believers also started acting like cowards along with Peter; and even Barnabas was swept along by their cowardly action. When I saw that they were not walking a straight path in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, “You are a Jew, yet you have been living like a Gentile, not like a Jew. How, then, can you try to force Gentiles to live like Jews?” Furthermore, Peter confirmed Paul's writings to be Scripture: 2 Peter 3:15-16 ...consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures. 4. I didn't particularly like his presentation and therefore skipped several minutes of the speech, but I can agree with the majority of what he said, especially the part about getting along even though we may completely disagree with each other. Having said that, he's clearly a bisexual that just couldn't handle the rejection from the female he sought to be with, thus sealing his fate under the label of a homosexual. He then writes a letter to her satisfying his ego that basically says, "oh well, we were only gonna be together for a couple more months anyway...and besides, I'm gay." To further satisfy his ego, he turns it into a personal issue and hangs his dirty laundry out to dry in the public eye for his own catharsis without so much as a hint of concern about how she may feel about it. He clearly made his choice... ...and the principal was in the right. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour

  6. I think you're both right, but good point. I did click the link thinking the victim was much younger, but it shouldn't really matter. It could've very well been a 14-year old. Also, depending on your age, 25 is still considered a kid. I believe they can still be claimed on their parents taxes and named on their parents medical insurance. When a 20 year-old gets picked up for an M.I.P, they are treated as a minor and the misdemeanor charges are erased after several years. When filtering through all the BS comments, I think "both sides" made valid points, but I doubt there is much that could be done by way of sheer policy to prevent something like this from happening again. You'd think by now we'd have a weapon with stopping power as effective as a gun - and then some - without all the lethality. 8. Curious.... why is this coming up NOW? This occurred in August 2014. TEN months ago. I think it's because the body cam video was released to the public. I remember hearing about this awhile back. I remember the kids face. You didn't hear too much about it as it was overshadowed by Ferguson.... 9. I think that statement shows that you do not make the slightest effort to understand the opposing argument. Hint: it's nothing like what you just said. We could probably add these quotes too: "WOO HOO... Summary death sentences for all young men with saggy pant's..." "This cop fucked up big time and he knows it..... he left his drop gun at home." "a spouse and children thrust into bottomless grief and a very real threat of a sudden detour into a life of poverty due to loss of a breadwinner. But the cops can pat each other on the back and say "good kill" Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour

  11. I know you'll want to block on a technicality but the first Gulf War worked out pretty well. Not if you prescribe to the notion that version 2 happened because version 1 wasn't handled properly. You might prescribe to that notion. I think it was handled extremely well and accomplished it's goals...right up to the point where we promised to support the Kurds and left them swinging. My only problem with GW1 was the ease with which we were able to complete the mission. I said then that people are going to think it will always be this easy and that would be a dangerous assumption. For a child back then, the assumption was much much greater than that... Since then, I've learned not to put my faith in humanity. Then call me a Gasosaurus... (fart) Not a megasoreass? Maybe after falling asleep at a soccer game... You will probably get a yellow card for that. Maybe if I have a straight red card, they'll just leave my ass alone... Bah, not those guys. They will try to milk it with everything they can. But at least the rules prevent them from using their hands on the balls. No shit...the whole point of the game is to kick the balls between the sticks. 19. Another Illinois politician headed for the crowbar hotel. Too many of these crooks are coming from Illinois. Something in the water? Lest we forget, her highness, Hillary was born in Chicago. She might be next along with that sex offender husband of hers. Ya, well...at least the crooked politicians in Chicago shared the spoils with their citizens and didn't leave it a wasteland like Detroit... http://www.clickondetroit.com/image/view/-/22381400/highRes/1/-/108hm7k/-/Final-Chapter-Kwame-Kilpatrick-goes-to-prison.jpg Damn Thug...Detroit had a chance way back with Archer, but he was outed as an uncle tom. 22. Good movie - must see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2567026/ The plot is still unknown, but my sources say that it depicts a world where people destroy their own progeny yet condemn the execution of convicted madmen. They fight for the legalization of drugs because prohibition never works except when it comes to things they don't like, such as guns... They're really against bigotry unless it's religious bigotry. They agree that religious denigration is deplorable and detrimental to society, yet later in the film they say the faithful are just psychological oddballs that suffer from delusions/hallucinations - and then they call OTHERS the insulting, condescending pricks. In this world, conservatives are pro-choice because they believe abortion could significantly thwart future liberal influence, therefore the liberals argue that abortion is anti-christian. 25. You're referring to the Bible, right? - Or do you have some other source by which you define Christ? Again, I cannot judge the eternal condition of another person's soul regardless of what they may think they feel or not. Many children after being disciplined may have the feeling that their parents hate them. John 6:37 "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. Many people I've known stated that the more they learn of God, the more they recognize their own shortcomings...this could be a rather unpleasant and humbling experience. It may even leave one in despair as if there is no hope: Romans 7:24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
