  1. Bridge? Oh, I thought we were playing Euchre - my bad. Given that the Q of Diamonds was a lower trump, ya, that would've been a better move. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  2. He had to follow suit - maybe that's the only club he had. Personally, I take exception with wasting the right or left bower when a lower trump would suffice - if he had one. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  3. 66.666% being religious insanity. Ya, because right now there are only 2 "active" religious threads - one started by an atheist and the other a catholic buddhist. So while you're clearly biased, at least you're original. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  4. Which right up front ought to tell you something about the kid and how he's been indoctrinated by his parents. When asked during the interview in the OP, the kid said that his parents didn't share his political views, but he plans to get them to vote Republican one day when he runs for president. pffffff, ya....about 80% of the crap here in SC is just parroted bias. 5. Alleged Quote: I can totally see Mr. Garrison saying something like that... Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  6. I think it's something about late term abortions, painful fetal dismemberment and selling of the body parts.... ...oh, no...wait - that was something else - Turtle's video was about a snake eating a mouse, nevermind... 7. It should be noted that the penalty "ranges widely from conditional discharge to seven years in state prison." I suppose we'd just have to trust that the punishment would reflect the circumstances and that the system would err on the side of leniency given that democrats are bitching about America's overcrowded prison system... 8. Ah, damn - you beat me to it. But still, even 7 years is a bit ridiculous. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  9. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=search_results&search_forum=all&search_string=%20hyperbolic%20bullshit&sb=score&mh=25 Royalties please... Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  10. "...rights inherent & inalienable, among which are the preservation of life, & liberty, & the pursuit of happiness..." rights inherent & inalienable, among which are the: -Preservation of life: "No abortions, guns and drugs." -Liberty: "Ok, you can have your abortions, guns and drugs." -The pursuit of happiness: "Ah, fuck it...do what you want, you figure it out." 11. You need those immigrants to grow the country, same in Canada. Current residents aren't having enough babies. ...or too many abortions. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  12. Police discretion... Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  13. Yep, in addition the 70,000 refugees and 1 million+ immigrants we take in consistently every year... As they should - they practically share a border - we're 6,000 miles away across the pond. How many Mexicans has Saudi Arabia taken in? I know you didn't bring it up but this whole comparison thing is dumb... Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  14. Ah yes, the bible of fiscal conservatism....So that's where you get your view on minimum wage. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  15. I wasn't aware that they had made those statements. I posted the statements in my reply to SkyDekker above. Ya, and tho the moderators were equally as "tough" on the candidates, the difference in the debates is demonstrated in the very first questions. Republican Debate 1st Question: Fiorina, such-and-such said that Trump is a hot-head and shouldn't have his finger on the button. You have even questioned trump's temperament...should he have access to the launch codes? Democratic Debate 1st question: Hillary, you flip flop so much...will you say anything to get ellected? 16. Maybe because CNN decided to do this differently than the Republican debates? LMAO, yes THAT is the reason.... Republican Debate - Jack Tapper: "What the team and I have been doing is trying to craft questions that, in most cases, pit candidates against the other -- specific candidates on the stage -- on issues where they disagree, whether it's policy, or politics, or leadership. Let's actually have them discuss and debate." Democratic Debate - Anderson Cooper: "I'm always uncomfortable with that notion of setting people up in order to kind of promote some sort of a face off...Look, these are all serious people. This is a serious debate. They want to talk about the issues and I want to give them an opportunity to do that." Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  17. I'm not a philosopher, nor do I have any scientific data to back this up, but I feel like if you and I stopped at Taco Bell, and someone whips out a street sweeper because his burrito was folded wrong, that the odds of survival would be slightly in my favor. Not necessarily...if someone walked out of the bathroom and saw this "street sweeper," they may be more inclined to run back into the bathroom and lock the door, where as you may put yourself at risk by engaging the street sweeper...neither option is wrong or right - fight or flight. 18. You don't really have to prove anything if you have the ability to explain why. Your post simply implies that owing a gun increases risk in and of itself, but there are certainly other factors involved. A gun owner with a ccw may be more inclined to put himself in a situation where he's more likely to be killed, but gun control advocates aren't concerned about the truth behind the facts as much as they are concerned about using those facts to control the behavior of others. 19. LMAO.....with comments like this, please don't expect to be taken seriously. Moldova.....lol...yeah that is who you want to be compared to? I think it's a great comparison...when was the last time you visited the inner city slums of America? Not all of us are so privileged to live in the utopia known as Toronto... But seriously, if we can help change the culture and improve the quality of life for those in the inner cities, then a large part of the problem is eliminated - and personally I think that would be more practical then any gun control law. The sad thing is that these young gang members are not crazy - it's just their cultural upbringing...they can be influenced...they can change. But everybody rather focus on the white suburban nutcases that come around twice a year instead of addressing the same issues that have plagued the african-american community ever since gaining their freedom and being corralled into the corners of the country. 20. That's just responsible gun ownership... Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  21. You might have a point if the intention of every male gun owner was to kill their own progeny... Ya, 1 million blockheaded narcissists that probably had an abortion in this past year alone. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  22. I can't read the article - it wants me to sign up. When I click "not right now," it takes me to a story about some pagan Senate candidate that killed a goat and drank it's blood... Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  23. Yeah, but people like drugs a lot more than they like guns. Ya, especially with under-aged kids - when the majority of drug use starts. Many of those people also happen to be underage, but heh, who gives a shit as long as the adults aren't hassled about their recreational drug use...let's just smoke a joint and bitch about guns. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  24. If you think armed citizens are any threat to the U.S. government, you are living in a dream world. Tanks, drones, fighter jets, cruise missiles, satellite surveillance, etc vs. small arms fire from unorganised, untrained weekend warriors. The 2nd amendment was relevant when it was written and everyone had close to the same level of weaponry. Times change and to keep using the "tyranny" argument is silly. That sounds similar to anti-vaxxer logic - "Hey, we don't have these diseases anymore and the vaccines are only hurting us now...I know, let's get rid of vacines!" We may not have a tyrannical government right now, but if history has taught us anything, it's that it tends to repeat itself - and we shouldn't set up future generations for failure. The history of successful guerrilla warfare against big military has already been pointed out to you, but it goes beyond that. If our already volatile socioeconomic structure ever happens to collapse, people will need to depend on firearms not only for protection against other citizens, but also for hunting - and I really don't wanna have to jump out of a tree and spear a boar through the head. 25. Good point. Lets get rid of all laws then, because clearly none of them work. That's usually the argument coming from the anti-gun crowd that wants to legalize all drugs - which btw, kill more people than guns. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
