  1. And every time you do it, history shows you fucked up royally. Maybe when you do it this time it will be different....right......right? It happened in 2008 with the suspension of the refugee family reunification program due to fraud and in 2011 when Iraq militants found their way onto US soil by way of the refugee program. I didn't see you guys tearing off your robes in self-righteous indignation back then. Yes, because that is the same as banning all Muslims... In the context of the last few posts, we were talking about the situation with Syrian refugees - something you've been bitching about ever since Obama turned it into a divisive political ploy on the world stage. 4. I never said anything like that. Again, your hatred continues to cloud your perception while you insist on using excessive emojis in lieu of your ability to articulate a substantive post - or lack thereof. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  5. From what I remember, churches can't lobby or have any political voice. There are religious non-profit orgs, but they have to pay taxes on donations used to lobby. You just showed how they get around that. I would imagine that the majority of religious lobbyists aren't a subset of any one particular church. In any event, the point is that if you decide to tax Churches they won't have to "get around" anything. You view religion like organize crime? Well, when mixed with politics, perhaps. I'm not a fan of religion in politics, nor politics in my religion. I'm surprised that you'd want to go down a road that leads into more of that. I'm not sure I follow. The leaders of mega churches that author books still pay income tax. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour

  9. You have forgotten Timothy McVey I believe... No, I recently posted how Al Qaeda effectively stole the title of terrorist from McVeigh fair and square. So you're saying a democracy must accept this level of violence? No. This attack cost the number of lives that die in about 1 month due to other firearm related activity. Excuse me while I think your line of reasoning is hypocritical and stupid m'kay. I think your marginalization of our greatest national tragedy to make some kind of political point is pathetic. 10. Funny, isn't it, that tens of thousands of shooting murders committed by non-Islamic Americans doesn't constitute anything worth worrying about, yet one murderous attack by Muslims and we're "under attack". Ok, so we have some christian nutters shooting/blowing up abortion clinics - so if you work in the infanticide field, ya, you're under attack - fair enough. um...if you're an inner city black, than you're under attack by other black gang members. The others are most likely disgruntled democratic mass shootings and/or robberies and crimes of passion. The biggest single attack came from Islamic extremists - they're a global threat, so excuse us if we decide to err on the side of caution, m'kay? 11. From what I remember, churches can't lobby or have any political voice. There are religious non-profit orgs, but they have to pay taxes on donations used to lobby. If you're gonna take money from someone, they have a right to voice how that money is spent. You scratch my back, I scratch yours. I don't want my church giving money to the government for the same reason I don't wanna be in bed with the mob - before you know it, your principles have eroded away and you're forced to do something you don't want to. Good. How? ...and then how could non profits like planned parenthood still take money from tax payers and pay their leaders 500k+ a year. At least most of the mega church leaders write their own books and earn their own money to pay for their huge houses and big taxes. 12. If you're for the separation for church and state, how is taxing Churches a separation? You mean their tax exempt status they have now? Ya, how is taxing them a separation - especially when doing so would give them much more political power than they already have? I know, that's why I asked the question. That sounds reasonable, but how do churches not meet those requirements? For starters, many non profits and charities I know charge for their services, whereas churches do not - Take for example Plan Parenthood that even takes tax money and then pays their president $500K+ a year... 14. I imagine myself as an atheist prick taking que from the likes of Dick Dawkins and historical militant atheism. Recognizing the hypocritical similarities to religious extremism, I decide to become peacefully agnostic minding my own fucking blissful ignorance. But it's clearly run as a secular society primarily devoid of christian principles - Ya, you may have some remnants that look and feel like Christianity, but the majority of people only believe in God simply because they can't help it - and that's about as far as their faith will ever go. 15. You offering to kill me Ron? My exact thought when I read that too. Perhaps that's just a symptom of the paranoia that comes along with thinking that Christians want you to "convert or die." Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  16. QED, an obsession with death. It forms the centerpiece of your religion. That's just your twisted, biased perspective - a double standard. When somebody risks their own life to save someone else, even secular society calls them a hero. That is TOTALLY different from basing an entire religion on the death of an individual and using the execution instrument as your symbol. Then for you, I'd recommend the fish. I've been in many, many Christian churches, abbeys, cathedrals and chapels and have yet to see one without a cross on or above the altar. I've never seen one with a fish above the altar. However, I am quite partial to salmon and trout. I believe the fish was the symbol prior to Constantine's militant hijacking of the faith. Personally, I find crucifixes more offensive and I reject the concept behind having an altar. I think your beef has more to do with Catholicism then biblical Christianity. 19. What this all has to do with, is the twisted ways that religion fucks the world up. It's nothing but hate. Again, what does that have to do with me and my post - and the only hate I'm seeing right now is coming from you and John. Never was there an answer....not without listening, without seeing - Gilmour
  20. lol, wtf are you talking about? The SYMBOL of Christianity is an instrument of torture and execution. You'll find it in every church, and hanging around lots of people's necks. Big deal, Normiss rides with the Hells Angels and the Outlaws. Their SYMBOL is a human head where the flesh has rotted away. You'll find it in everyone of their clubs and injected into a lot of people's skin. What's his obsession with glorifying and celebrating death? At least a cross is a symbol of dying for a loved one. John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends” I still don't know what any of this has to do with my original post tho - Perhaps you should just let Normiss speak for himself, eh?
