The proposal is to deny Syrian refugees just based on their country of origin and/or religion. Comparing that with denying someone for cause after an extensive background check is not only apples and oranges, it is disingenuous of you. Fair enough, but in your selective quote you conveniently ignored the part about Iraqis and Kenyans that were denied because of their country of origin. The U.S takes in their share of refugees from around the world consistently each and every year for the past 50+ years. Not all referrals are accepted and many applications are denied based on various criteria. Apparently it's OK with you to deny other needy refugees just as long as they're not Syrian.
