Ok so it looks like its gonna be a weather weekend for the halloween boogie. So i need ideas of what to do to stay occupied. We will be dooing the normal: drinking, falling, eating, fires, explosions, talking, parting, and telling stories that shouldnt be told... anything else. Absolutley certain. speed of sound= square root(gamma*R*T). Gamma~1.4, R~287 if using metric units, T can vary. Gamma and R are constant, T varies. Therefore, speed of sound is temperature dependant. well yea.... if ya put it that way, geeze! yea there is temperature, but its super cold, to measure it youd have to fill some vessel w/ a medium of some kind insert "thermometer" and wait for the temp inside to adjust. Right? B/c temp is really the frequency of particles being in an excited state and "bouncing" off each other. Gawd.. what am I doing... Im back to assuming it makes no sonic boom. Why, cuz when it "enters" the atmosphere, it makes its boom, but its at such an altitude it is unaudible, b/c the air is nearly a vacume. Yup, I got a call this morning: starting a new job! then got my DSL working: zzzzooooooooooooommmm! I got out of class early and tommorow Im off to see if I can kill bambi! Plus yesterday I got the OK from the Dr to assume all normal activities!

to throw something else into the mix. Does it even make a sonic boom? Is sonic boom related to acceleration only? and... maybe the sonic boom does happen extremly high up and the air is too thin to carry the sound very far... just thinkin out loud...
