well its not over yet, but Im still kickin so Id call it good. Some highlights: Day one: severe, monster, hangover Day two: fly home from Germany! other excitement: quit my fucking stressful job, went back to school, bounced the week before rantoul, surgery after rantoul, but he golf cart was fun, got a new job, and partied w/ my friends on a most regular basis! Well really more for April my wife, cuz she just graduated! I was most happy to see her finally make it. (now maybe Ill finish) so as I sit her in the wee hours of the AM I raise my whiskey filled glass to her and all the others who have made that walk, another year and maybe Ill be there too! So Im goin to us a GM 3" maf sensor w/ a translator on my 91 Mitsu Galant VR4. Were adding 550 injectors and going to custom build the inter cooler piping and adding a 23 x9x3 spearco intercooler. Anyone out there got any run ins w/ the GM maf and the translators ya gotta use w/ em? Oh and if your not into it... the above will look like greek. well if I had to pick it would be: The neville brothers, Dr John and BB King. I mean WOW! but on the others end of the scale was when Type O opened for Pantera (insert head banging here) but then there was that one where Johnny Lang opend for Kenny Wayne Shepard... oh hell I give up. all the concerts Ive been to the openers have been bad, but never the head liners. Screaming Trees & Soul Asylum opend for Spin Drs ok so not much of it was very good, but I werent really there for the music. Red, Red Meat opened for Smashing Pumpkins in a damn convention ctr they sucked major donkey butt! but the pumpkins rocked. and one only a few will appreciate: I skipped the first opener and then Type O negative opened for Pantera (f-ing awsome concert) but I digress..... well I got a bout 4/5 of a half gallon of whiskey, 1/2 of a fifth of tequila, some mt dew, and about 2 hydrocodone, and 5 percoset... me thinks Ill just not finish that.... lest I finish me (not gonna happen) but yea... I have to go w/ most of chopchops advice. whilst he has WAY MUCH more experience than me. I have welded w/ everything from "hobby" (your example) to the large millers he talks about (me likes) I have a friend who burnt one up (maybe a size bigger than yours) one a huge trailer/house/rv project. Me being a poor person have always used stick for larger jobs (such as you describe) and MIG for smaller more delicate stuff. Everybody and their brother has a stick welder that gets up there about 400 amps around here. but finding a good MIG is tough sooo... we make do. IMHO.... find a miller that is ready for gas, is 110v powered, and your heat and wire speed are all adjustable. sadly if its suffering... its probably run away by the time ya think to put it out of its misery. its simply amazing how far/much a deer can run on three legs and a half and ass. but IMHO, me kills it, me keeps it. Just call the local Game warden or PD and let them know. I know here they just tell ya "ok, your not hurt are ya?" and WHATEVER you do DO NOT leave the deer on the side of the road and return to a DZ w/ damage and fur on the car with out the deer! that just a waste of a lot of BBQ!

Im not sure how to address this so as to be P.C. but Ill give it a shot, and Im actually suprised that non of my conterparts have chimed in here. There is a guy who is a regular at our DZ and well on his way to being a great skydiver. Did all the right things, sold his car, household goods, etc to buy gear and etc. I even was happy to see him at Rantoul this year. then theres another guy who comes in from another DZ who is a wicked-good skydiver w/ instructor and pro ratings. He military and that seems to keep him from coming around but he is a hoot to have a-round. Specially if ya want to be tought lessons in belly flying!
