  1. I believe your example in no way indicates that spanking is NOT the answer. We (at least I) have no idea how Mitchell Johnson was being raised at home. If his parents had introduced a good paddling to him previously, the school spanking may have produced a different result. . . =(_8^(1)
  2. Shoulda called Warped -- he'd a put a .45 right between her eyes, problem solved. . . =(_8^(1)
  3. I dislike the ambiguity of that phrase. Plus, too many people seem to see the word "provide" in there somewhere. . . =(_8^(1)
  4. A fine presentation from the Zenister Institute of Punctuation Philosophy (ZIPP).
  5. Here in Colorado, winter has been so long and miserable, I have doubts (but great hope!) that what you say is true. . . =(_8^(1)
  6. Black football players will be the first to "accidently" disappear under a McCain administration. . . =(_8^(1)
  7. What a loozer. But why the need to insult rats? . . =(_8^(1)
  8. Now showing on Google. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3369102968312745410 . . =(_8^(1)
  9. Penn and Teller probably did. People get death threats for liking Chevy over Ford sometimes. However, I don't recall rioting in the streets all across America over Penn and Teller's film. This is one equivalency (tolerance) you ain't gonna sell. . . =(_8^(1)
  10. I watched it, and it boiled down to a very professionally done repackaging of stuff most of us have seen before, with cross-references to verses in the Koran. I wonder if there's anyone on this board who'll step up and tell us why death threats are justified against the people at liveleak. . . =(_8^(1)
  11. TSA agents are one notch below mall security gaurds. . . =(_8^(1)
  12. Nope. There's a clear difference between the religious differences and/or oppression we've seen in this country vs. what black folks went through. Do you want EEO for atheists? . . =(_8^(1)
  13. I do, in the form of EEO laws. Blacks were beat down for ~400 years in this country, and STILL are in certain ways despite all the right laws being in place. I believe EEO is justified and has been very useful, though I'm hoping we'll not need it for too many more years. . . =(_8^(1)
  14. Agreed. The JW have had other cases reach the Supreme Court, I wonder why something like this has not. . . =(_8^(1)
  15. Correct, but doing something about it is productive. I think we need a worldwide reparations program to offset their tragedy and loss. . . =(_8^(1)
  16. I see your point, but still not convincing of a "Taliban" equivalent. I again say I hope that couple pays a dear price for this. I looked around for a court precedent on this kind of case and could not find one (but my search skills suck). If there isn't one, let's make one. That'll remove the so called sympathy factor you mentioned and end this bizarre practice on minors. . . =(_8^(1)
  17. I appreciate the link, because it sparks my interest enough to look into Hagee a lot further. The article tells me why Hagee supports Israel (same for many Christians), but I'd like to see more validation of his more whacky ideas like preemptive strikes on Iran. I could care less what he advocates, and don't believe he really has 99 million followers, but I do care about him from the perspective of McCain's acceptance of his endorsement. From McCain: "“I'm very honored by Pastor John Hagee's endorsement today,” . . =(_8^(1)
  18. What percentage of the population did you say those nutballs were? I've missed the throngs of people rallying around the town square. . . =(_8^(1)
  19. "American Taliban" wasn't necessary to point out the morons. . . =(_8^(1)
  20. Nice try, but I still don't see a valid comparison between a peaceful (yet with very misplaced values) religious group and the Taliban. When's the last time a JW blew you up in a market? Go look up the Taliban's actual doctrine, which includes the TOTAL subjugation of women, killing all the infidels, and numerous other whacked shit, then check on that comparison. We DO have freedom of religious expression in this country. The Taliban isn't interested in that. . . =(_8^(1)
  21. Just a fun opportunity to put down the US, a favorite pastime of some around here. On the topic, I can't believe charges are being "considered". Seems like a no-brainer to put those bone heads behind bars for some sort of manslaughter. . . =(_8^(1)
  22. I'd take Jed Clampett over any of the current contenders. . . =(_8^(1)
  23. From down here in the Southerly Rockies, the view is exactly the same. . . =(_8^(1)
