    Hand injuries are nothing to take lightly. If one has a serious or suspect serious hand injury, best get yourself to a specialist. Wouldn't want it to become life altering when it could not have been with proper care. Heck, could ruin your sex life it not cared for properly!

    Yep, seen that. Slightly different failure mode, but had that happen to me once too. I'd think your local rigger could repair the damage to the canopy and get you up and jumping again, but if you want to return the canopy to Aerodyne, that's good too. Let us know what they say.

    Isn't that thing getting ready to land on Mars here soon? I'm surprised they didn't send up a smaller rover with a proven landing system to try to video the landing of this thing... just in case... so they'd know what went wrong, if they crater Mars... again.
