  4. As a little kid... Hellmann's Mayonnaise When I was a kid, my family was a Miracle Whip family (because that's what Dad likes) and the only time I got to eat mayo was if I was at a friend's house and their Mom made us something to eat. As a big kid... The smell of an opened dish washer opened right at the end of or mid cycle. It takes me back to the summer job I had wasing dishes in a dinner. Ya know, one of those jobs you have growing up where you're supposed to figure out what you DON'T want to do for the rest of your life!
  5. Not to mention it will cut way down on the number of folks who ask to borrow your cell phone!
  6. OW, While this incident would seemingly involve foul-play, folks going missing only later to be found in their car doesn't take a lake to happen. I've lived in the southwest for more than a few years now and can remember two stories of folks going missing only to be found years later in thier car out at some remote place in the desert somewhere. One incident was a singal individual that evendently went off road and over an embakment (cliff) with enough of a drop to (unfortunately) kill him, but not so bad as the car burst into flames (happens in the movie all the time, right?). He wasn't found until years latter a private pilot in a small aircraft was flying low over the area, spotted the car and reported it, thinking it was a recent accident, after returning to a local airport to land. The car couldn't have been more that a few hundred yards off of an improved (paved) road. The other incident involved a family that was known to have been out in the desert, went missing, but where never found. Years later some hiker found them and their car strandid in a remote area, way off road. They were still in their car and evidently died of dehydration. This was many years before every one had a GPS and the theory was they got lost and tired to go offroad to get back to civilization, but ended up more lost and strandid. Doesn't take long to mort in the desert heat.
  7. http://www.foxnews.com/science/2013/09/18/blue-footed-boobies-expand-range-in-california/ Blue-footed boobies suddenly expand range in California Published September 18, 2013 High-diving seabirds known as blue-footed boobies have suddenly expanded their range in California. The birds are normally rarely found north of the Salton Sea in the far southeastern corner of the state, but in recent weeks have been found across Southern California and as far north as Marin County in the San Francisco Bay area. Kimball Garrett of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County tells the Los Angeles Times that the birds are suddenly "all over the place." The species is large, bluish-gray, with a long, serrated beak, short legs and bright blue webbed feet. Last month, the Arizona Daily Star reported a blue-footed booby appeared at Patagonia Lake State Park, the first documented sighting of the species in southeast Arizona.
