Move from smoking office to non smoking office
meridianjumper replied to meridianjumper's topic in The Bonfire
I have just changed jobs and I used to work in an office that everyone in there smoked but me. I worked there for 2 years. I am now in a smoke free office place. When I worked there and did not have any problem with sinus or anything. The second day of work in freash, clean air and my sinus area is all upset. I wonder if I am going through some kind of detox and my nose is just used to the smoke and now does not have it? Anyone have any ideas or have been in this type of situation? Blue Skies, Jeremy -
OK, I am going to be having 2 interviews this Friday, both with professional settings and people. Does anyone have any tips or pointers I should be aware of and use during them? I know to not say "Uh" or "Ummm". Blue Skies, Jeremy

I am in the process of looking for a job and moving from one state to another. The company that I now work for I have been there for right at 2 years. I have 2 different jobs that are VERY close to either giving me an offer or something on that line. My boss just can in and wanted to "purchase" an insurance policy from me that would keep me working for them until the end of June. Both jobs I have told that I need to give a 3 week notice before I can leave. So they are already expecting me to be a while before coming on board with them. The reason that my boss wants to do this policy is that he is wanting to go on a trip to see his son graduate from high school in NY. The trip will be at the later part of June. The money is a really nice amount and would definatly help me out, but if I get an offer to start in 3 weeks I would have to tell them no, I could not start until July 1. Has anyone run into this problem before? I would like some input from other folks. My industry is the IT industry. I am a tech. Blue Skies, Jeremy

Memorial Day weekend in Denver!
meridianjumper replied to meridianjumper's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Yeah! My girlfriend and I will be visiting Denver, CO for the Memorial Day weekend. Was wanting to take a break away from the normal stuff and find a DZ with something going on. Is there any boogies going on close by? We will also probably be bringing a tandem or two with us as well. Blue Skies, Jeremy -
Thanks guys for the advise. I think I am doing the right thing. Blue Skies, Jeremy

I live in Mississippi and I break paint from time to time. I am not interested in going pro, I own an Imagine. It is a very descent gun. Sometimes it is not what type of gun you have, it is how well you can shoot. Also being aggressive helps too. I like to charge into battle and not look back. Does a pretty good job for me. But for the games where I really want to snipe folks out, I have a 21" barrel for that. I also use Nitrogen on my gun instead of CO2. Blue Skies, Jeremy

I am not a big poster like a lot of you guys and gals but I am wanting some opinions. I am currently in the process of moving away from my home town. I will be moving to Birmingham, AL. I have lived here in Mississippi for my entire life. I have traveled all over the place but never stayed in one place but wanted to. I spent about 4.5 months in Denver, CO a few years ago, but came home. It was a short stay anyway. It was a trip to figure myself out. At this moment in my moving process I am looking for a job in Birmingham and a place to stay. I have a very good possible job in the works. I basically have about 2 months left at my current job. I sit here and think about leaving everything that is familiar behind. All the friends, relatives, co-workers and places with memories. I am moving to be with my girlfriend, get a better paying job, and be closer to my dropzone. I know that I will be back to visit, but it is kinda hard. I know that when I get over there I will have my wonderful girlfriend to welcome me in. Also my DZ family will be there too. So I am torn between feeling sad and being happy. This is a HUGE step for me. I would have to say this is the biggest step I have taken in my life. I have thought this out in my head and my heart and I know this is what needs to happen. But there is this little voice in the back of my mind saying, "Are you sure you want to do this?" Has anyone moved and felt the way I do? Blue Skies, Jeremy

My father owns a carpet cleaning business and he has a cleaner that is used on silks and other fine woven cloth to remove tar and oil stuff. If anyone is interested in this, let me know. I will mail 1 bottle to the first 2 people that e-mail me. I have used this many times on other folks rigs to get grass stains out. My e-mail is meridianjumper@gmail.com Blue Skies, Jeremy

There is actually a song from the musical "Silence of the Lambs" called the same thing. I first heard this on the Opi and Anthony show on XM. They played this right after the musical opened. Blue Skies, Jeremy

Spicy Cheez Stix or Homemade Beef Jerky...
meridianjumper replied to RkyMtnHigh's topic in The Bonfire
I use round steak. It is usually very cheap and you can cut it into stips. Blue Skies, Jeremy -
Yeah, GM is already using the recorders in some of their model cars. Blue Skies, Jeremy

You will need some kind of video editing software in order to capture the video shots like that. As for free video editing software, there are not any that I can think of. Unless it comes with your video camera. But those are really cheesy pieces of software. I prefer Adobe Premier but that is not a very cheap piece of software. If you are looking for something that is quick, easy and cheap, check out Pinnacle Systems Studio. I use that software all the time for my quicky videos. Very cool software. Lots of cool fades and wipes. http://www.pinnaclesys.com/ Blue Skies, Jeremy

I talk to my g/f if I am going to make a quick pit stop. I usually warn her and she will put the phone down and check back in a few mins. Always mute when you flush. Unless you want to mess with the telemarketer that is calling you. Carry on small talk with them while you fill up a tall glass of water. Walk to the bathroom and start pouring the water slow enough to sound real into the toilet. When finished, flush. See if they can continue their speech with that going on. I have unraveled many script readers with this tactic. Very funny stuff! Blue Skies, Jeremy

Spiffy New Credit Card, (Here we go again)
meridianjumper replied to gravityizsexy's topic in The Bonfire
I maxed all mine out. I can only be mad at myself. Only took about 2 years to do it, but so far I am 3 years into paying them off now. Damn it is tough! I am slowly getting my life back in order. DEBT sucks. I was told that debt is a part of life, that everyone will die oweing money. I do not want to live like that. Debt has made my life terrible. But now I am on the right track! My advise, tear that bastard card up! If you don't have the cash, you don't need it. Blue Skies, Jeremy -
who else is looking for a new job and f***ing frustrated???
meridianjumper replied to Nataly's topic in The Bonfire
You are not alone. I have been looking for a job to move closer to my girlfriend. So far I have been looking for about 4 months and nothing yet. It is a very hard thing to seem to accomplish. If anyone knows of any tech jobs near Birmingham, AL, please PM me and let me know. Blue Skies, Jeremy
