I wasn't too mad about not getting the year-end raise. I took a new job within the company in October and got a 10% raise - so that kind-of makes up for not getting the year-end. I really want the bonus. Without it I won't get to go on a vacation this year. Last year I spent the bonus money on a trip to Hawaii and California! I feel the same way. I like going to the gym. I feel like I always have more energy. Just started going again last week after taking a few months off. I try to go before work at 6:30 am - it gets me ready for the day.

Last October 2001 was my last surgical procedure. They gave me some percocet - I basically lived off of them for days each time I hade something done. Not as good as the diloded (misspelled??) that I had when I had surgery in November though. That shit takes only seconds to kick in. I don't know why I had the urge to post this but...There is a story behind it. About 10 years ago I was in a car accident and lost my front tooth. For 10 years I had to wear this tooth on a retainer type thing - I had to take it out to eat and sleep and it was real uncomfortable. Anyway, when I had enough money saved I decided to get one of those dental implants. As luck would have it, I needed to have 3 reconstructive surgerys on the bone in my gums and my gums before I could get the implant. In June last year the implant/tooth was finally finished. Recently I have been having major pain in the area. I thought that I was going to have to have the implant removed and go back to wearing the removable tooth. But, I went to the dentist today and he said that it's okay - I don't have to have it removed. I was so happy because I spent close to $6000 over a 2-year period to have this done. Anyway, attached is the x-ray that shows the implant (looks like a screw). I just think that it looks neat - kinda bionic or something. I went with a friend. It didn't work for here. She actually quit using that smoke away stuff. I think that she got it from GNC or somewhere like that - it has a money back guaratnee too.

I made the resolution to quit for like 3 years in a row - never worked. Now the only resolutions I make is to not really make any. I tried the cutting down thing many, many times. I stopped smoking in the car, in the house, before work etc... It didn't work for me at all. I quit a few months ago by going to a hypnotist. I saw an ad in the paper one day, $60 and 2-hours later I stopped smoking. I have not even had any real cravings. Once in a while I think about having one - because for some reason I really did enjoy it. But, I have saved so much money. Every week I put $40 dollars into a savings account. At the end of this year I'm going to go on a vacation with it - hopefully. Best of luck to those trying to quit!
