I have a 94 4-cyl Wrangler that does the same thing. Mine seems to only happen when the weather is damp/rainy. It sometimes sputters, but once would not start at all for about 4 days. Once the weather dried out everything worked fine again. I am suspicious of a cracked distributer cap (or whatever the electronic equivalent is). Mine has new wires from last year.
