Can you watch the HNIC feed in the US? Halak 38 saves! Now we got a series! -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

I couldn't watch the game. What were the significant parts of the Pens' game that allowed them to win so handily? I am hoping that the Habs will give the Pens a good fight at least. I'd hate to see them roll over after beating the Caps....that would make their win look like a total fluke imo. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

I did a total of 9 SL jumps before being allowed to terrorize the skies with unstable clear and pulls This was in 1980 in Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey -

You got that right. It was a wild final 3 minutes....down a man for the last 1:44. Now, I am praying for another Habs upset and a Bruins win so that I can enjoy watching the Bruin fans get their hearts broken. Something along the lines of 1971 when the Bruins were supposed to win it all and the Habs stopped them in the first round with a hot goaltender named Ken Dryden they had just called up. Likely not going to happen but a guy can dream can't he? -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

WOW! Back from being down 3-1 in Games. Habs - Pens next.....can the Habs do it again? Stranger things have happened. Should be good. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

Go Habs Go! Biggest and best upset yet if they can pull it off. Edited to add: Habs 1, Caps 0 in the 2nd. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

Before you know it, he's going to ask to be traded to the 1976 Canadiens -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

If Halak has another game like that in him the Caps are done. Even if the Caps win...how far can they go with Varlamov and Theodore? I don't like their chances to go real deep despite their firepower. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

Yeah Jonathan Quick didn't live up to his name last night!! GO CANUCK's GO!!! Canadiens sure had a goalie tonight! 53 saves by Halak in an outstanding performance against the NHL's highest scoring team in the regular season. Taking the Caps to a Game 7..you gotta love it. What a wild first period in Nashville...it's now 3-3! -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

Sens have let the Pens back into Game 6. OT coming up. I'd sure like to see a Game 7. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

My two sons, 10 & 12, did tandem paragliding on Maui in January...that was pretty Nirvana-ish! -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

Who thinks Nabokov starts next game for the Sharks? I don't think he will. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

Did that get tipped a bit by the Avs' player? Even so, Nabokov has to be ready even if his guy has the puck. Brutal way for the Sharks to lose but that's what a hot goalie can do....keep you in the game until you get a break. Doug Wilson (Sharks' GM) looked absolutely devastated. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

I have been watching the end of this wild Game 3 on the CBC website...Here's a link for you to try. Craig Anderson...unbelievable agains from the looks of the shots on goal...50 shots, 50 saves. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

Indeed. At least three of those goals were completely his bad. Kinda wondering why he was even on the ice for the third. Wish I knew enough about hockey to bitch about the officials... goaltender interference on Setoguchi my ass... That was actually a good call. CBC announcer Kelly Hrudey gve a good explanation of why it was the correct call. He also said that in Game 3 the Sharks have to have their backup guy ready to go and they can't wait until he has let in 3 or 4 goals. It was certainly an action packed game. Had the Sharks lost history was not on their side..they have never come back from losing the first 2 games of a series in 7 occasions and the Avs have never lost after winning the first two...12 times. Anderson for the Avs was outstanding in net. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

Dunno what you're watching but I haven't heard any booing. Hell of a game on both sides so far - what a 2nd period! Wish Nabby was a bit sharper... and some scoring from the top line would be nice too... The Detroit-Phoenix game is pretty amazing too. They were booing with about 7-9 minutes left in the first when the Sharks were on a power play. Nabokov is porous tonight. The Sharks will be very lucky to get a split at home. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

Check out Ken Rockwell's site. He loves Canon point and shoots...to the exclusion of everything else. I recently bought the Canon S90..his favourite camera and have been very pleased with it. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

Sharks...Lose. Absolutely no sense of urgency in the last three minutes and they wound up losing to what looked to me to a more determined team. Got booed off the ice by the home fans. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

You are correct in asking which Luongo will show up. A great goalie can beat a good team and history is chalked full of great goalies who stood on their heads to defeat the "so called superior" team. Roberto Luongo can be streaky and Ryan Miller is probably the best goalie out there right now. But never could out someone like Martin Brodeur. Time will tell ... let the real season begin. As a Canuck's fan, I am worried which Luongo will show up. Roberto has shown that he can be a good goalie. However, he has also proven time and time again, that he needs improvement with his consistency. Yet, the team in front of him have a great chance of getting pst the first round! Go Canuck's Go!! Well, he was good enough to win an Olympic Gold! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't shitting myself when Babs put him in the net. I always used to think that Marc Andre-Fleury wasn't good enough to win a Stanley Cup...had to revise my thinking last spring. We'll see... -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

Nabokov & Thornton. I think they are the keys (as they have been for several years) to the Sharks going deep. Based on past performance...they won't be up to it. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

I'm 58 so I'm "near-elderly" I guess. The prosthodontist told me 25 years for the implants which would take me to the age both my parents died. I don't expect to have a longer life expectancy. I sure don't want to have to pay for this twice lol. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
