Go visit The United Arab Emirates. Open up any "questionable" site including MySpace.com and the warning shown in the photo attached appears. Lets hear what you have to say about the Arab government. Go to other countries as well. Same thing. This type of censorship happens all over the world. The press in many countries will tell the people what their government wants them to hear. I suspect you know this already. Google is doing nothing but complying with a business request and there are ways around it. Google search engine works fine in the UAE however the websites themselves are blocked. Google has nothing to do with it over there. You choose who censors, it's the big guy or the little guy, either way it's the big guy and the little guy must comply or die. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Nahh... I think Ted has improved a bit in the 5 years since he made that post. Plenty of threads about exit seperation have been written in the Safety and Training forum since then, if you'd care to link to one, that would be great.

The canopy has to be built first to obtain a TSO. Main canopies do not have a TSO. As far as selling it... :) ... build it first and have 20,000 test jumps put on the design then consider it. I'm in current possesion of a home designed and built canopy. It's had 2 jumps on it but it has not been landed. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

Considering most student programs, I don't buy it. I had 500 jumps (give or take a few) when I jumped a stiletto for the first time. I already had around 300 jumps on a Jonathon when I jumped a Stiletto of the same size. In response to pulling the toggle down to make a turn, my first thought was ... "you've got to be kidding me" The Stiletto turns faster than any canopy out there. It may not dive as well and has a shorter recovery arc, but the in flight characteristics are quite radical. It's opening characteristics require a smooth skilled touch as well. Canopy control skills camps arm jumpers with more knowledge and that knowledge equates to learning canopy flight progressively, not aggressively. 200 jumps and flying a Stiletto is not progressive. Just because a person can survive landings multiple times, does not neccessarily mean they are skilled or flying safely. Wingloading a 260 Navigator at .7 to 1 will fly quite similar to a Manta but with a better flare. To this day, most DZ's lack progressive canopy coaching and anything but large canopies in the rental gear, so in reality, "Their own delusions" is a valid and accurate answer I hate to say it but I highly doubt this. I guess the only way for you to realize it is to survive for a 1000 jumps and look back

Heck, I'll order one of those for 16.50. The Hot Tools Heavy Duty Hot Knife Is the good one. The holder is the only thing I'd get from ParaGear Did you see a holder on the DJ Associattes site? My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

How fun. I've seen that dam in pictures many times. Some day perhaps I'll jump that one myself. The visuals off a damn are great. What else ya got?? (if you care to post them that is) My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

That picture is perfectly acceptable in the BASE forum. Nice shot Walt! How long ago did was that? My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

I overlooked that little bit. Why in the world did you say that? (we need a scratches head emoticon) I don't consider you an enemy by any means but that statement reminded me of the fun happy character Stabby McKnife. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

Will do... Ah yes ... Fribourg. I was close! My team mate Brad had black and white checkered patch pants that match the Fribourg flag. He was a big hit and didn't know why until later. He ended up dancing with the entertainment (scantily clad woman) up on the stage in that bar. Most people thought he was part of the act. The landing zone was in front of the hotel. Get this, they had a group of Alpenhorn players that would play as soon as we approached and we swooped over top of them each time. We didn't hang out at your dz much because we were bussed there only for take off. Most of us don't even realize places like that even exist. Here's a picture from hookturn.net If you have any photos of that area, I encourage you to post some on a different thread. You live in a great land. If any one needs more cowbell, go vist piisfish. I don't post in speakers corner and I'm not afraid of the dentist. Both of those things are now true of Alex too. This is only a website so I don't take it too seriously. I like Alex's posts though. Except for the new fluffy ones. They are a bit concerning. Yet another Edit. Woops My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

What's amusing is that Micro posted at 3:27. You replied to Chuteless at 3:54. Then you re-up the thread by replying to McDuck at 4:27 asking people to let it go My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

I was thinking the same thing but I understand what he means. I too have received equipment just a couple days before an event. That's pretty good since the rig was slated to arrive a week after the event took place. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

Take a look in the BASE section in the classifieds. You may find something suitable. Do you know what you're looking for? I chose Asylum and CR and have always received great support. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

I was there competing in the now defunct SSI Pro Tour in 96 or 97. We stayed at the Hotel Cailler in Charmey. They didn't like some of the skydivers after that week. I remember driving through Chateau d'Oex on the way. We partied at some town that starts with an F... thinking... nope, can't remember. I believe it was a college town. There's about 150 towns that start with an F so I may never remember. It's such a beautiful place. If it works out I'll come visit Switzerland again this year. Edit: The town was Frieberg. It had a great 2 story bar with a small stage. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
