Heya all, I've set up a new Document Archive in the Gear section. The Dropzone.com Document Archive is your one stop spot to find Service Bulletins, Technical Bulletins, Manuals, Articles and Other skydiving gear related documents on the web. I'll try to keep this list as comprehensive and up to date as possible but when in doubt always drop in on the manufacturers web site to see if there are any new documents available. Hope it's useful.

I've made peace with that a long time ago - it's impossible to please everyone. Without a doubt some people will not be satisfied and for all I know there may be loads of people out there who can do it better.... but you actually have to DO it first!

Heya all, I've placed a post on the Announcements board on Forum Rules and Etiquette. I tried to keep it short and simple (not big on a lot of rules) and provide some general guidance as well. Go check it out and feel free to point Newbies in that direction as they come on board. The post will remain at the top of the board.

...for those of you who gets this far to read it. The Dropzone.com server is running out of memory. I've purchased some more and the company I have this hosted with has a maintenance window scheduled for midnight to 4:00 am PST on the 8th. Hoping that will be the short term fix - I'll have to dig into how I can save some resources by optimizing some code etc later. Huge apology for the inconvenience. Hope to have this humming again soon.

Heya, There are two things happening here. The first is that we've consistently used more than double my allocated bandwidth over the past 2 months. I have an allocated 40 GB and we use more than 80 GB. The second is that the increase in mySQL processes are using all the memory and some swap space. Will have to purchase more bandwidth and upgrade the memory. I hope that will solve the performance problems for now. (It will probably introduce some budget problems though! Hehehe! ) Safe swoops Sangiro

Heya all, I added a category for Jumpsuits and Clothing to the Gear Database. Thank you to rapper4mpi who sent me the initial list. I know there are still some manufacturers outstanding - I'll add them over time. There are 95 items listed to kick off with. Please drop in and review your gear to help others make more informed decisions before buying.

Heya all, I've updated the gear (canopy and container) selections on the profile pages. Go check your profile and see if your canopy or container is now available in the drop downs. Remember to remove whatever you typed into the "other" field if you had something in there and your gear is now in the drop down. I have also added Wing Suit Flying and Speed Skydiving to the discipline choices and replaced Blade Running with Swooping. Go to myDZ and click on Modify my Profile to do so. Safe swoops Sangiro
