  1. Hi Brother, I just got back from a day at the tunnel w/ Geoff Grizzard. I can't say enough good things about him. This is the third time I have hired him. He is a good teacher and communicates very well in the tunnel.(you are able to understand what he wants with a full face on, if you can belive it!) He runs you through the full monte. He starts with basic body position, moves into center point turns, superpositioning, levels. Then into lots of drills. I know this is a basic template that almost all of the coaches follow, but He seems to be able to work with everybody regardless of skill level. We had a guy with 1500 jumps and a guy with 140 and everyone was smilling! The best drills, in my opinion, were 90, 180, 270, 360, 540 degree turn drills. buddies, cats, comp, comp, was also one of my favorites. Geoff works at the tunnel so you can get a hold of Him there. He is definetly worth it. Best of luck, Mish
  2. Well I should only have about 1hour and 15 minutes to myself. Moderation is for cowards when in doubt overload. Are you interested brother?
  3. Since this is on the same subject. I have four hours scheduled(coached by Geoff) on Friday the 20th of Dec. One of the guys who was coming with us had to back out. If any DZ.COMer is in the area and would like to get in on the action PM me and we can discuss it. Mish

Wassup Brother, I definitely think that side slide was a easy way to solve the front slot switch. I suppose at that level a slot switch isn't a probable brain lock but, taking it out of the mix is just that much more of an edge. If you don't mind I would like to ask what team you are on. I would very much like to pick your and Marios' brain on many questions. Take care and Blue skies Tomorrow Mish

Good morning Bro, I was just looking at rd6 again to see what you meant, I dont know the term swing. I am assuming the move from the OC is the swing and I see how that turns the sequence into a straight repeater. The OC spins and negates the front slot switch in 16. If that is what the swing is please let me know. Mish

I was just watching round six on NSL tv and I was wondering. Which of those dive flows did you guys think was the best plan. Mish
  7. gotta question, can you show up any day of the boogie to get the benefits of a military jumper or can I show up on sunday or monday? I just had shoulder surgery and dont know how it will feel, I don't want to drive from Va Beach and find out if I cant jump after a 5 hour drive. thank you Mish

Cool, I am still new at all of this and I am looking for all the tricks. Thanks for the good information. I was watching the best of airspeed video and I am trying to decipher all of the differences in the engineering and builds of all the dives on it. Thanks again brothers Mish

I am sorry, my question is. Can the formation be built to the right or the left? Is the man (regardless of slot) with the inside grip on the out facing person mandated to have the cat on him. Is it within the rules to build C with the cat on who would traditionaly be Outside Center? Mish

Hi Y'all, I was wondering if anyone here knows the rules of building the random formation C. Is it acceptable to sting either of the centers or is specific to one side. thank you, Mish
  11. Yeah, I guess I stuck my keyboard in my mouth on that one. I actually was asking the opposite. I could use the coaching and would be willing to pay. Please forgive the inflection of the e-mail. mish
  12. Skymonkey One, I was wondering if you were planning on going to the CSS Thanksgiving boogie, and if you are, would you be interested in some canopy coaching. MISH
  13. Hallur, thanks for the reply man, I am definitely keeping all the options open I'll probably demo them all, and see which one suits me the best. mish
  14. Hey Y'all , Thanks for all of the good advise, I appreciate it. I am not up on the industries latest and greatest, what is the controversy with the XAOS' lines? mish
  15. Hello Gang, I posted on the gear and rigging site earlier and didn't get the response I was looking for. So I will ask y'all here, what are the pros & cons of these two canopies. I am only looking for a few characteristics in a canopy. I would like to be able to make it back from a AFF slot on the load. I would like a nice swoop with easy front riser pressure. I would like soft openings and finally I don't want it to take me to the abyss every time I have one or two twists in the lines. I know, I will try to pull stable. If any one on line flys Velocities or VX's, please give me your advise. Blue skies and long swoops mish
  16. Forgive me but this is my case of beer post, I have been flying a Alpha 117 for a little over a season and it has been relined and has over 1000 jumps on it. Ever since the reline it does not behave like it used to. Now I am having frequent line twists 1 out of every 5 jumps, I have had to cut her away twice in two weekends. So I am going to send that lil doggy to pasture and invest the reserve repack money into a new cross braced canopy. I was wondering if any one who owns either the Velocity or the VX could shed some light about the pros and cons to either canopy. A few details I am concerned with, I am a AFF instructor so I need to get back from long spots. I am also a wuss when it comes to hard openings so a canopy that has notoriously "BRISK" openings, would not be for me. I appreciate the help, take care. Blue skies and long swoops. mish
