  1. Yes the TG-3 is the sme camera. I working on a better video upload, maybe later in the week Cookie
  2. The video footage shown on the HD TV was excellent and was better than the mini DV footage of a PC1000 as a comparison. The footage was shot late in the day and it's low light perfomance may be it's down fall. I did three jumps myself this weekend using this camera on a belly and foot mount. It was a beautiful day and the red and blue colours were exceptional compared to the PC9 mini dv camera footage was also used. It does have it's draw backs, one was setting the camera to manual focus which involved holding the lens in front of the camera to adjust the focus whilst using the screen Cookie
  3. Yes I though it was crappy also. I uploaded it at the 512kbs download rate. Im new to you tube uplaods, advice willingly accepted Cookie
  4. Yes, the back of the box is always open. Cookie
  5. OK more to the manual focus setting. To set your camera to manual focus with camera out of the box is For the Liquid 3 lens Set the camera to manual Step down using the left button (Little man Left arrow) until you hit 0.1M. Then press the same button four times to get the lens in focus For the Liquid 5 lens Set the camera to manual Step down using the left button (Little man Left arrow) until you hit 0.1M. Then press the same button one time to get the lens in focus You can also hold the lens in front of the camera and do the same as above to confirm. Cookie
  6. Ok the dude who shot the vid's is Crikey, thanks mate. Here is a link to the video's http://www.youtube.com/user/Skydivebase The guys ran the camera on auto focus. We also made a minor mode to the production boxes so that the lens is exactly in the center of the wide angle ie no black corner. Cookie
  7. The gap worked out as such for two reasons. 1. To accomodate the Hypeye Pro 2. To fit a wide angle lens. If the camera was flush with the helmet the wide angle would pick up most of the helmet. You will see once the video's are uploaded that the Liquid 3 still picks up the edge of the helmet and the dudes face Cookie
  8. Ok a few photo's. I will try and get to video's of the TG-1 in use up loaded tonight. Cookie
  9. Photo's and video of the camera in use only a few day away Cookie
  10. The thread size in the TG-1 box is the same as your PC1000 camera, 30mm Cookie
  11. Defintely no shake issues as it has a different image stablizer. To fit a lense we had to bring the camera away from the helmet, this also helps with the fitting of the Hypeye Pro. Cookie
  12. The box has a 30mm thread machined in the front, so you can just screw your lens on and go. Cookie
  13. Nice one, We have been testing this camera for a few weeks now and it is getting jumped this weekend. It is a great little camera for side mounting. We have built a prototype mount for this camera and done a small production run to iron out any bugs. They will be available soon. Cookie
  14. Cookie BTW we have redesigned the HC box. It will now open on the side to flip the view finder out and if you are game enough. You can side mount it. Stock will be available in the next 4-6weeks Cookie
  15. No you can not. We certainly tried however it is to hard to get your fingers in to remove it. Cookie
  16. Yes we have built a glove for this camera also. Cookie
  17. I think our hard work has paid off and here it is. Our new Blackbox for the CX6/7 Sony camera. http://www.cookiecomposites.com/shop/blackbox/58/index.htm Cookie
  18. Yes you have a good point, The compromise may be to miss the take off shot in favour of protecting yourself and the others within the aircraft. Cookie
  19. Here is a copy of an email from a good friend of mine Rhonda who had an unfortunate aircraft incident in August. I'm for wearing your helmet for take off regardless of the need to shoot footage. Put your helmet on and take your camera off it's mount to shoot the video. There are a bunch of systems out there that allow you to do this and wear your lid. Edited to add: Rhonda had left her camera's on the ground for this jump.
  20. I read your post and thought I would help you out with some feedback we have had from one of our customers. Our intention with this design is to offer the ability to hear more with improved forehead and rear skull protection and the ability to adapt this helmet into a semi pro/pro camera helmet. We have incomporated two shell sizes with this design to keep the helmet as close to your head as practically possible for all sizes. One customer AkA Begium Steve is currently working at Empuria Brava DZ/Spain has put close to 800 jumps on this setup. He uses a PC9 and EOS 350 D top monted and enjoys the ability to clearly hear chat within the aircraft and airspeed when committed to his final approach for a good swoop. Freefall wind noise is not excessive due to the design of the vents. For BASE I can suggest to contact Douggs at Base Dreams.com as he has recently attended the KL Base tour and will give you un biased feed back on this new helmet. Iam happy to answer any other questions you may have. Cheers Cookie
  21. Give Deepseed.com a go. I know these guys personally. You will not be disapointed by Liam or Dave. That's is a shame about RMW. I have 6 suites from them spanning 9 years and 3500 skydives. There still are in great condition also, considering the punishment I gave them Cookie
  22. Yes I couldn't agree more on size an intial features. We have designed a box for this camera and the feedback from our customer after numerous tests in an enclosure is the same as all the feed back on this forum. Cookie
  23. Ok the tech guys tell me there was a small problem with the geo-locator that has been fixed. Could you please clear your cache before retrying. Thank you for your patience If you have any other problems please send me a PM Cookie
  24. I have contacted our web hosting company to see if they can find out why and rectify the problem. I will let you know of the response. Cookie
  25. Same enclosure, we adjusted the lens, on/off button, tripod screw and closure system hole placement. Cookie
