Your correct about the Hemi and marketing, it was a very smart move. Something old that is new again? The concept of hemispherical combustion chambers for better combustible power through added breathability and flow is rock solid engineering IMO. There are currently a number of after-market manufactures that produce these (hemispherical heads) for motorcycles as well. I drove a Dodge Coronet "post", dark blue, dog dish hub caps, bench seats , (a real sleeper), Hurst 4 speed, 426 Hemi for awhile. I ran NHRA A stock if I remember correctly and with some 7'' M&H Racemaster drag slicks (max " allowed), dropped exhaust, as well tweaking fuel adjustment screws on dual carbs ran 12's. MONSTER torque! So I understand your comment on a "real Hemi". I do attend the annual Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale from time to time and the "real Hemi's" are way into six figures As far as your comment on a foreign owned I'm going decline. Stumpy, I should have left that last line off. Businesses can decide their own rules. I personally know some of the head management (business dealings), and know their view on the 2nd Amendment. Like I said, I should NOT have brought that view to this forum. My personal view on carry, is very much the same as Amazon's, however, I can't express myself as eloquently as she did on the subject. I suppose the handgun could have a broken extractor thus failing to hook the cartridge rim and remain in chamber after racking. He broke all ten gun safety commandments except maybe the one that says use proper ammo. IMO he probably thought he racked the slide but didn't pull it back far enough to allow the extractor to eject round. Some handguns especially when new take a fair amount of strength to bring slide completely to rear. An all around bad move.

If you are talking over the counter brands (if available), Federal does a good job. If you are talking super accurate over the counter brands (may have to search a little and more expensive), Hornaday fills that slot. As you know, AR's come in many calibers, I'm assuming you are talking .223/5.56 variant. Anyway the BEST way to answer your question is to buy 50-100 rounds of every brand of manufacture (more if you have the $ and time) head to the range and your weapon will tell you what it likes to eat. I do recommend avoiding Russian ammo for AR's due to excessive fouling. It will tell you if "point of aim" is consistently applied by the results measured in accurate "hits", and lack of ammo feeding issues. This is assuming you have a properly lubricated AR and quality mags. Have fun Croc sending projectiles down range
