My brother is going to kill me for doing this...
Slowfaller replied to RkyMtnHigh's topic in The Bonfire
Hey, today is your birthday. Hope you have a good one and to celebrate I'm gonna go golfing w/ my brother. Happy Birthday Carl Chris --"Someday you will die and somehow somethings going to steal your carbon" -MM -
My buddy once said that he has to piss so bad that he's getting the shivers He was dubbed "Piss shivers" after that. He's also called "El Presidente" and "General Sweet Pants". One of our friend's son came up w/ GSP. My brother calls my fiancee "Monkey Claws" and her best friend "Blossom" Think the TV show. --"Someday you will die and somehow somethings going to steal your carbon" -MM

We love their bang bang shrimp. El Faro for a burrito For just food, Port Edwards in Algonquin, IL. Hands down best seafood I've ever eaten. For the whole dining experience, Geja's Cafe in Chicago. It's a fondu restaurant that's very romantic, Ginny and I enjoyed ourselves. Steak would be The Steak House at Circus Circus, Las Vegas. The lock on our sliding patio door stopped catching so right now we have two aluminum foil boxes and a ziplock back box keeping it closed, great security eh? Not to worry, we're getting a metal rod to put behind it. --"Someday you will die and somehow somethings going to steal your carbon" -MM

The fiancee bought the tickets so I can't complain. Hopefully I'll discover some new stuff to listen to and it's my first music festival. I've always just gone to punk/indie shows with the occasional Metallica or Foo Fighters type concert... --"Someday you will die and somehow somethings going to steal your carbon" -MM

Go with what nanook said. After you get the coordination down it'll start to get a lot more fun. I'm a pretty shitty drummer but like to have fun with it; even impress my friends now and then. A great album to rock out to is No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom. I learned how to use my arms and legs independently by sitting on a stool w/ a rubber drum pad and a pair of sticks. Everything else was imaginary (hi-hat, toms, bass, cymbals) By the time I got my first kit I wasn't half bad and played the shit out of 'em. Have fun with it! I'm sure you will, you seem like the type of person who has fun with anything you do

Went to Best Buy and picked up Muse's Black Holes and Revelations While listening to it on the way home I realized that this will go great w/ Koyaanisqatsi Holy crap was that awesome. Had the movie on the 50" w/ the CD playing through the PS2 and 5.1ch stereo turned way up. I highly recommend trying this if you have or can get Koyaanisqatsi from Netflix or Blockbuster. Several cold drinks mix well or if you're into smokey smoke you'd probably blow your mind --"Someday you will die and somehow somethings going to steal your carbon" -MM

LOL, so buy everything they've put out Cool thanks for the replies guys. This is the first time ever getting to go back stage at a concert but to actually play poker with the guys is going to be crazy. Kind of embarrassing that I only know one of their songs (Knights of Cydonia) but really dig it. The music, not the singing, of Knights...reminds me of something Danny Elfman would do for Edward Scissorhands while the camera would be sweeping across the neighborhood before stopping on that old house where Edward was created. Very epic song --"Someday you will die and somehow somethings going to steal your carbon" -MM

Anyone like this band? After listening to the sample clips on amazon I've decided they rock! If a new fan were to buy(yes buy not download, does anyone even do that anymore?) one or even two of their albums, which would you recommend? The reason I ask is because Ginny and I are going to see them this Thursday for free (won tickets) and before the show the band and us get to play poker and I get to take home a signed poker table!! Friggin' crazy! Hoping to be let in w/ a bottle of Jack to say thanks. --"Someday you will die and somehow somethings going to steal your carbon" -MM

Hot Sauce Addicts: Post Your Favorite Brands
Slowfaller replied to btwitche1975's topic in The Bonfire
I'd have to vote 'other'. Currently my fav's are Louisiana Habenero El Yucateco green habanero and red habanero Sriracha Hot chili (Rooster) sauce is great for burgers and dogs When I get pizza at a bar I've been asking for their hottest wing sauce to dip the pizza into, done it twice now. Sooo good, especially with plenty of parmasean cheese Tabasco is kid's stuff The garlic is really good though. I didn't care for Tabasco Chipotle but I've read it's good as a marinade, I used it as a sauce. An excellent hot sauce web site is hot sauce blog. Has tons of reviews and is generally interesting. --"Someday you will die and somehow somethings going to steal your carbon" -MM -

Guys: could you see yourself using this device?
Slowfaller replied to Slowfaller's topic in The Bonfire
True. How new is a different use for them though? Such as sporting events or concerts? I've never heard of it until I read that S.I. article. It'd be great not losing your friends who are at lawn seats at a big concert or risking arrest for pissing in an alley --"Someday you will die and somehow somethings going to steal your carbon" -MM
