A few times.... Once due to winds being high and turbulent and I decided it wasn't worth the chance. Once due to an S&TA deciding it was too windy for me as a student. Twice due to feeling ill and not wanting to get violently ill in freefall. And once due to looking out of the plane and seeing my dad's face (after he passed away). It's more rotating away from me. They are starting to rotate, and IC still has ahold of my leg gripper. After that I'm able to regrab OC's leg grip. Yes, it starts to spin. Not sure what you mean by "cut into the wind." I haven't done a stairstep diamond exit with the team, yet. The video guy wasn't at the DZ today so I wasn't able to ask him to email it to me. I know that without video and a better description, it's hard to coach. And, I appreciate the attempts that have been made. If I can get a copy of the video from the tape and get in on my computer, I will post the video. What we have been doing is having point and IC inside the plane with tail and OC outside the plane. Point (me) is grabbing a hold of OC's leg grip and IC is grabbing a hold of point's leg grip. IC is giving the count. I'm trying to make sure that my body is presented to the relative wind. We're going to be showing the video to one of our coach's tomorrow. And, if I can get a computer copy of the video, I'll post it. The problem with the video is that you couldn't see the exit. You saw IC still holding onto my leg grip but I had lost OC's leg grip. So, unfortunately, this is the best description I can give for now. But, I thank you for the effort. Life is short! I picked that my mom tolerates it. Before my dad died, I'd say she tolerated it a lot more. Since dad has died, she wouldn't complain if I quit. But, I've got to give her a lot of credit. No, Faber. None of the jumps that I've done thus far would ever qualify as a night jump. Night jumps have to be 1 hour after official sunset. No drinking or anything else.
