1. car (automatic and manual) 2. motorcycle 3. golf cart 4. SUV That's it. Not as much fun as all the others. Boats...planes...maybe one day.

No, it's not an appropriate practice. The job specifics are xxx. Gender should not play into it. You can either do the job or you can't. If you can and you're female - SWEET!

** Biting tongue ** Ok...let's start out at the basics. What are you trying to do? Display text from one workbook into another? Sum data? What?
-
Easiest way is to do it step-by-step with Microsoft's Help Index open. Out of Microsoft's Help Index: Create a name that refers to cells in another workbook When you define a name that refers to a cell or range of cells in another workbook, you create a link known as an external reference. When you do this procedure, make sure the workbook you want to refer to is open and that it has been saved. 1. In the workbook in which you want to create the external reference, point to Name on the Insert menu, and then click Define. 2. In the Names in workbook box, enter the name for the external reference. 3. If the Refers to box contains a reference, select the equal sign (=) and the reference and press BACKSPACE. 4. Activate the workbook that contains the cell you want to refer to by clicking the name of the workbook on the Window menu. 5. Select the cell or range of cells you want to refer to. 6. In the Define Name dialog box, click Add. Viola! Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.

Go to Sheet 2. Click on the cell you want the value calculated into. Put in that cell: =sum(Sheet1!A1:A3) Sheet1! would be which sheet the values are coming from. A1:A3 would be the range of the values that you want calculated. Have fun. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. Yep. Got the sticker and everything. After they harvest what is needed, burn me up and let my S.O. take me up for one last time in the skies and let me go. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.

I've met ChopChop, jumped with him a few times (he's the one that had the patience to start teaching me to sitfly and got me to start packing on my own), and he's even crashed on my couch when he came to Wisconsin to visit. I know ChopChop likes to be a smart ass, play, joke and sometimes deliberately get people started. He can, also, ** GASP ** be serious when the situation warrants it. There are times when he goes overboard, but we all do. So what? If people are exceptionally sensitive about something or are not sure how to take what he's said, ask for clarification - "Did you mean xxx?," walk away from the computer (or post) until you calm down a bit, or ignore the post. And, if he's posted something that really gets your goat, PM him...ask him for clarification or tell him how it came across to you. He may not have meant for it to come across that way, and you may find that you just got upset over nothing. He's a good guy and one I consider a friend. (Just as an aside, did you know the spell check suggests "Coffeecup" for "ChopChop?" ) Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.

Nervous at a new drop zone?
ladyskydiver replied to Conundrum's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Words of advice - Do it! You learn a lot by going to different DZ's. Encouragement - You'll have a blast and be glad you did. Find out who here on DZ.com jumps at the DZ you want to visit or ask if people will meet you. You'd be amazed at the warm greeting you will receive from your DZ.com peeps. Life is short! Now, ChopChop....having lived in Wisconsin for some years and having lived in Cali for a bit, I tasted cheese from both states. And guess what? Cali cheese sucks in comparison to WI cheese. Cali may technically be the dairy state now due to production volume , but they still have a lot to learn about how cheese should taste. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Hi, Quade! I've jumped at 3 California DZ's. 2 of them I had no issues at all getting checked in. The USPA membership, waivers and gear check are standard and no biggie - although California is the first place that I've been to that videos the waivers - again, no biggie. It took about 45 minutes to get signed in at Perris - not a real biggie, but an annoyance - most of the time was due to the logbooks. Perris is definitely more anal about things. The individual at Perris when looking at a log book for a D licensed skydiver did not know the USPA requirements and believed that all jumps needed to be signed. According to the USPA, once an individual achieves a D license or any instructional ratings they desire, they do not need to get their log books signed. The attitude of the individual that we dealt with when getting checked in, combined with the lack of knowledge about a D licensed skydiver's logbook was an issue. Although I enjoyed seeing fellow DZ.commers there, I will probably not jump at Perris again and will ask the DZ.commers to meet at another DZ or go out meet later for beverages the next time I come to Cali. Well...knowing you as I do, hon ....my vote is already with you. Imposter Kramer, On Jan. 2nd, please do not hesitate to bow down to The Original Kramer - although you will need to keep your grovelling level down a bit due to not being sure how TSA will react.
