Since Cooper jumped with a back reserve and would not have had an accurate take on the wind his drift was up to potentially about 5 miles, depending on his pull elevation. A 5 mile drift makes the potential LZ 78.53982 sq. miles. Almost 80 sq miles is massive. We have a wind estimate and can reduce that to maybe a third but Cooper likely wouldn't have known that when he jumped. That indicates Cooper did not jump to a specific pre-determined area. It was random or ad hoc. There was no precision involved. Cooper did not jump to an accomplice.. Cooper did not know where the plane was going to be. IMO, his initial plan was not to jump in the PNW.. he jumped early to avoid being on the plane in Reno. A question for jumper's.. Cooper asked for mains but received back reserves, he looked over the chutes and chose the newer "military" one.. Would an experienced jumper be able to tell that they were reserves? Would an experienced guy like Braden know or check that they were mains? Does the fact that Cooper jumped with a back reserve after inspecting the chutes tell us anything about him or his experience?

Good job Ryan,, You have slightly walked back the previous certainty claim of an Orchards jump.. smart move. Cooper jumped at 8:11, give or take few seconds. Something that has been overlooked even by most experts... Cooper asked for fronts and backs, that is a front reserve and back main.. He received a front dummy, front reserve and two back reserves.. not mains. So, he did not receive what he had requested or expected. I assume he did not know that he jumped with a back reserve, unlikely, they are designed to reliably open and get you to the ground... they are not steerable. Experts say easy jump no problem they would do it,, but would they do it with a back reserve??? You land where the drift takes you, in a wet PNW night.. Jumping in those conditions with a main is brave or stupid, jumping with a reserve is crazy.. A reserve is more reliable but not controllable. That raises the likelihood of Cooper landing under canopy but also raises the potential for a hard landing and injury. Point is, he effectively asked for a main but jumped with a back reserve.

Back to Cooper... I have a new working theory about TBAR.. something to think about. What if the dredge layer below the money identified by Palmer was not the 1974 layer but a pre-NORJAK dredge layer.. Willow Bar dredging frequency was 4x out of 5 years prior to 1972. I recall reading about TBAR dredge deposits prior to NORJAK.. Not all would be deposited on TBAR,, but if we assume that layer was pre-NORJAK it makes more sense. The money would have been below the 1974 layer which would have been eroded away in the 6 years to 1980 exposing the money at the surface.. There was no added material after 1974.. that extended time would maximize erosion. If the money was on top of the 1974 dredge why did it take 6 years to expose it,, doesn't really make sense. If that 1974 dredge was on top of the money it rationalizes the money being covered in 1974 and in place for many years until 6 years of erosion exposed it.. I like it.. it makes more sense.

Maybe, maybe not.. We don't know everything the witnesses said. I know you think you have every witness description in the 302's but I know for fact you don't. Extraction isn't really the right term,,, "Latin appearance" is. But you will need to take any confusion about Cooper's appearance up with the FBI. Virtually every FBI description uses "latin"... that isn't a mistake. White/Caucasian... plus Swarthy/Latin/Olive/Dark/Mexican, which are similar descriptions by witnesses and are virtually interchangeable and are really different ways to describe a perceived characteristic. Not that Cooper was necessarily Latin extraction but definitely latin appearance. This is one of the few solid and most important pieces of evidence in this case. I have called it the elephant in the room... if you can't see it you can't see anything. I think Edwards doesn't understand that many Latin Americans were mixed race and called Caucasian. Strictly, SWARTHY means dark or olive skin... Practically, it means a dark/olive skinned Caucasian. That is why most said Caucasian/white and Dark/Olive/Swarthy.. The FBI did not invent it, it accurately describes almost all witness observations. Most witnesses also described Cooper as "Latin", which is also consistent... Cooper's appearance and features were a Latin, olive/dark/swarthy caucasian... Further research,, swarthy is generally Caucasian people who tan to dark/olive very fast in the sun. My analysis.. Cooper's complexion was dark on November 24.. He was not from the PNW.

True, it all depends if the airstairwell light was on.. there is a light switch on the interphone panel.. Cooper did use the interphone at 8:05... if that light was off the trailing pilot couldn't see.. Edwards and others are wasting time trying to move the jump south.. Soderlind got it right, it was 8:11 almost exactly. I have data to prove it and I have said for years that it could have been as far south as Battleground,, not now. People keep trying to change the evidence without any facts..

So, now Ryan posts a sketch A image with KK5-1 eyes from sketch B.. and claims it looks more human. Think about it.. Ryan has incorporated a significant part of sketch B into A to make it better.. but still claims A is the best likeness.. This makes no sense... irrational. Soon, he will be showing the full sketch B while still claiming sketch A is better.

It was a bar story from another researcher, not very reliable. The chase plane pilot did not say "Flight 305 was changing course 45 degrees evert 30 seconds" that was attributed to Seattle Centre in Himmelsbach book NORJAK. This is not true, the plane did not change 45 degrees, impossible... Himmelsbach's book does have some errors.. I bet it was "4 to 5 degrees" not 45 degrees, just misunderstood.

I disagree,, Ryan has brought attention to the case and new people but it has undermined the legit advancement of the case.. It has turned into a social group where bad ideas and false evidence gets spread like a virus... and yes Ryan does claim opinions as facts, most people now think Cooper jumped at Orchards because Ryan and his jester's keep repeating it,,, it is complete BS. Most think Cunningham's revised time's on the flightpath are real.. they are not. We have suspects who are not Cooper being flogged.. IMO, this is not good for the case. They had a short but friendly chat, and Gen. Madson told another story. He had intercepted Flight 305 about five miles north of Camas; he had seen the hijacker on the aft airstair; and the hijacker had given him a traditional gesture with a finger. This case was not solved and has been so difficult because there are few hard facts... the FBI admitted in 1976 there was not enough evidence to prosecute without Cooper's cooperation and the witness memories had faded. This absence of hard facts leads to speculation and most of it is absurd. IMO, the growth of the FB group has been a negative.. too many people without an adequate case knowledge level immersing themselves into a speculative social soup of bad ideas snd misinformation. A few influencers drive groupthink claiming facts that do not exist.. There have been some really bad ones but the newest bad one is pushed by Ryan and his jester's claiming that it is now known by all that Cooper jumped at Orchards, he claims the FBI has confirmed this now.. This is complete BS but people just believe it. Once bad ideas and lies get entrenched into the group narrative they are very hard to dislodge and correct.. I know this case very well,, There is ZERO evidence for an Orchards jump, it is just made up. There is evidence for the 8:11 jump.
