I'm not sure a Wingsuit opening feels like an opening in a track at all. I usually track pretty damn quick in my booty suit. Keep in mind that in a wingsuit, you'll be going much slower vertically so while you're travelling further horizontally it doesn't really feel like a track. (Or not to me anyways.) I don't know that there's anything you can really do to prepare besides reading the forums and mentally preparing yourself. Especially when it comes to emergency procedures. Also, pay real close attention to your current openings. Are they fast, slow, on heading, etc. A slightly off-heading or turning canopy could turn into massive line twists very quickly in a BM suit. Personally, the biggest adjustment for me in a BM suit was the deployment itself. Forcing myself to change my body position from my flight position to an arched, bent knee, head up deploying position and then waiting for line stretch before moving took some mental training. Just talked to him and I think he's missing us... told me to make a post letting ya'll know he's working his butt off doing a military AFF contract out at The Skydiving Place (2.3 miles off of I95) and if anyone's in the area to stop by. I'm sure missing him too (hence the frequent posting). We'll be in Opelika, Alabama celebrating his Dad's B-Day this weekend. I've never jumped into anyones backyard before. This might get interesting! Oh, and for those who didn't know, we will be back up in NC for at least 3 years during the first week of June. Any Orson Scott Card fans out there? I just read Ender's Game and can't wait to pick up Speaker for the Dead. Just sucks having to write the book report! It's pretty easy to tie in with military leadership though.
