OMG this is so true!! There are so many points where honesty comes into play. If you are untrue, really, you are the only person that suffers. 2 stories. My b/f asked if I wanted to go out one night. I said I honestly didn't care, but would prob rather go out. He said "none of those girly mind trick things. What do you want to do?" I said no mind tricks will come out of my mouth. If I say the opposite of what I want & he agrees w/ me, there's no way I could possible be mad, I have to accept the bed I made & deal w/it. other story. goin to dinner w/ bunch o friends w/ my b/f. So, it would be the first time my b/f & ex were in the same country or even same room, but my b/f didn't know the ex was goin to be there. on the drive to the resturant, i had to tell myself to get up the balls to let him know, the situation would only be worse if he was suprised. finally, i told him that my ex would be there. he was like "ok, so?" just no biggie. i felt stupid for being so concerend, but relieved that it was in the open & all parties knowlegable. anyway.... brutal honesty is key. K, I've LOVED LOVED LOVED the Phantom of the Opera since I was like 11. I finally got to see the Broadway version last night & can I just say it ROCKED!! Funny story, one of the girls I went w/ is an ex-cheerleader turned cheer coach... we're all outside discussing the play. She says, and I quote "I had no idea it had so much to do with the opera.". I agree w/ everyone else here. The kodak camera is great! I even used mine over a year later to "finish the roll" & all the pics came out fine. Going tannin will not help you Val - only if you went 2-4times/week for about 2 months. And even then, the natural sun will burn you. I'm a fairly tan person naturally, I use to go tanning, Last summer I went to Puerto Vallarta and [r]burnt to a crisp[/r]. While I was in Australia, I bought some kick ass sunblock & bug spray... both of those worked like magic after the crappy american stuff failed miserably. Have fun!! VERY COOL!! In school, we were told to hold their moughs shut & hold on - if possible to get them upside down. I'm pretty sure my 120# 16 yr old self could not have done that. But who knows. My parents use to have a place in FL on a lake where the back yard was basically a mini-penninsula sticking out into the lake. After about a week there, 1 - 2 gators would show up almost daily to sun themselves. We had to put up a fence so the dog would not go in the back yard. A few month later the animal control people came out because there were 6 gators over 5 ft in length in the same pond & they like to keep the number under 4. We got to see them wrestle w/ 2 bigguns (like that one) into a van to be "relocated". On the drive between a center of the state town & a west coastal town, I'd regularly see them either ready to or just having crossed the road. I basically went 90+ almost the whole way there over 20 times. I do not know. I take it on faith, which is what being a Christian is. I'm done w/ this discussion. I don't like typing this much. It is "work" to me. However, it is not my beliefe that every sentance/word of the Bible must be taken in precise meaning. context must be used; where was the setting, to whom was it directed (specifically). That is all very nice - now tell me something I didn't know . Pajarito, from my very brief overview, your attachment looks very interesting. I basically have this to say. The Bible is a Holy book to Christians, parts of it to those of the Jewish faith & additions to those of variants of the Christian faith (including Catholic). This we know. That said, the Bible was given to us as a map. It is not a precise map, otherwise our human right to chose would be removed. There are a few clear items in the Bible. The most important ones are: 1. Believe in Jesus & that he is the Son of God. and 2. Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself. Do these and per the New Testament; Jesus says you will be welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven. Any faith is just that faith. So I have faith that the people led by my God to translate the Bible into a form which may be read by me, translated it as clearly and precisely as possible. Now, based on such & such a translation, it says you shouldn't wear make up, or such & such says not to shave your beard, or____ or blah, blah, blah. Do any of these argumentsfit into either of the 2 "golden rule" topics? If not, it's probably semantical religious jargon being thrown around. If so, than it is very important to your own soul's well being that you look more deeply into the issue. Besides my personal beliefes, translations are not in themselves faulty. However, it is paraphrasing that is faulty. There are also many Christians that study ancient Greek so they can read the New Testament in it's original form, there are fewer that learn ancient Hebrew, but they are there. Also, for translations in Coptic text, these were some of the first "Christian" writings and in my opinion, the most correct. I have no idea Val... but want to say to go for it. I majored in Finance, for the same reason & now HATE my career. But what do you do w/ something as specific as Fin or Stat? It's not like you can just transition into HR or even woman's advocate positions. And going back for a Masters in a field 180degrees diff from yours is very difficult. I looked into a few & would ahve to take loads of under grad classes first to qualify, in which case, I might as well get another BA. Good luck to you!! I use to count on an audible ditter, but then unbeknownst to me it died & I had a really low pull - right @ cypress arming point. Stupid I know - please no one rheam me, I've learned. NOW I'm almost paranoid about looking @ my alti. I have it pulled so tight on my wrist so it stays in place that my hand almost tingles on landing.
