Wow - I may have to take you up on that. I look @ everything too & often find things no one else has seen. my instance are more like, trying to take a cool pic & dropping the entire camera in the pool. takin a friend on a trip & having my car break down & them leaving me to take the bus. looking into getting a home loan & finding that while I have GREAT credit, I have too much. my friend doesn't even seem to look @ life. she's goin on her way, working as a waitress (@ the same resturant I worked @ also) & the other head waitstaff (whom both of us barely knew) for the evening says "hey, my pops is paying for me & a friend to go to Greece over spring break. Wanna go?" I honestly don't know how her outlook could cause things to go her way. I go into a bank knowing the facts & hoping they're nice to me & I get nothing. She goes into a bank w/ absolutely no knowlege other than that she's trying to hide a repossessed car & multiple defaulted credit cards & gets a huge loan for a house. I could go on & on. So, my co-worker sits bout 15 ft away from me. he's sitting there, chewing his gum w/ his mouth open. to me this is one of the most horrid noises in the universe. the sound of spit being squished into a rubbery like substance, blech, it just grates on my ears . this is the logical way to think of it. However, for one of the FEW times; I actully agree w/ Val. I have a friend that would f up everything. She never did work @ school or on the job - her life was one big happy party. She never listened to her parents, pretty much did anything & everything that crossed her mind. She got everything. Free trips to Greece, Mexico, Spain, and many places in the US w/ friends for NO COST. She admits no cost, I see none & her parents don't either. A grant for bein 1/4 indian to college, some college debt forgiven by another school for some arbitrary reason. A car for free. She had a DUI, got married & moved to her husbands home state where they FORGAVE her DUI. They never have any $$ but managed to finegle a great house, 3 cars & now twins. She just gets sh*t for FREE - she is lucky!! Always lands on her feet - it's crazy. As the friend that has always worked. Gone by the book, done the right thing 99% of the time - I get screwed w/ everything. Nothing goes my way, so I end up doin nothing. If I try something, something bad happens. 100's of examples. So, I agree w/ Val. And like Val, this is not a pitty party. I don't believe in luck based on principal. But damn it there are some great examples in the world. There is no can't. I've only ever ordered jumpsuits, but I've never received any of them early, more like many months late (1, 2.5 & 4 months) - all from diff vendors. That rocks that yours came so early!! I had it bout the same way. But we also got all the silky strands off, rubbed butter all over the inner corn, pulled the husk back up & roasted it till the first few outter layers of husk were chared. mmm, roasted buttery corn!!

Oh, we certainly do!! Thank you for a well thought out response. This is not typically a problem @ my dz. And often enough there happens to be an AFF or tandem right behind me & the dz staff member asks for a go-around. When staff asks, they usually get it. Actually, it's a rare time we ask & don't get one. It's just a general concern. And I'm thinkin of speakin up next time I don't feel like pulling @ 5.5k. However, most likely the dzo would tell me I should exit on the pilot's GPS command & pull high if I don't think I'm close enough. It kinda sucks. There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. This is exactly what I'm thinking. If I ask for a go-around & don't get one, by that time, I'm really hosed & will have to pull round 6; but if I land w/ the plane, I've still paid. So, say your on jump run; one of the last groups out. You notice that the spot has become VERY long. If you exit, you'd have to pull high to get back. You ask for a go around. What happens? Does the pilot have no problem w/ this & turns right around = no problems. Do they refuse to go around; then do you 1. not get charged for the jump or 2. dz charges you anyway. There is no can't. I agree w/ so many others here. It's not my place to decide. Even if I am watching the child(ren) & something happens to both of them, hopefully others will be there to aid me, the dz should have emergency numbers also. Another question, what do you think of parents riding in a car together, getting on a train, in an elevator, walking down stairs together? All of those could be deadly. If parents do nothing but breath the air, they should have a plan for their children if they should die. I flew United from US to Australia. In Melbourne, the Quantas people said my rig weighed too much. I had to get United to stamp my bording pass saying a heavy carry-on was allowed. Apparently Quantas does not allow a carry-on over 13 lbs. They also didn't want to let me carry it on. Even w/ United's & TSA's report saying a sport parachute rig is acceptable. They had to pull the pilot out, have him meet me & ok it personally. But they did ok it. I went through this procedure on initial bording in Melbourne & again on a lay-over in Sydney. They had actaully called ahead to Sydney to warn them of a "problem passanger" that the pilot would have to OK. There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. I'm right there w/ ya Dustin!! Luckly I have an older rig w/ the chest strap that doubles back. I always make sure teh elastic is behind the double back & I thougth I always made sure it was routed correctly. Normally I hook my helmet onto my chest strap, a few times it slid loose indicating I hadn't routed it correctly. Visiting a dz, they made me put my helmet on my head for take off. After a great jump, I had a funny opening & a weird falling forward sensation. After opening, I realized the only thing that kept that strap looped was the elastic round the double back. I told my b/f & regular jump partner. Now he always YANKS on my chest strap bout 3 times before getting on the plane. I also am pulling on it compulsively. That was some SCARY SHIT!! I don't know why I didn't check that strap as often as the other points, but I sure do now. More than once I've been asked why I'm staring @ people's boobs - I swear it's for their safty.
