Hey lady. I understand 100% what you're going through!! All I felt was that everyone that wanted to give me some piece of sunshine crap could go shove it up where the sun don't shine. it's very rough, but life I think just goes through stages. Sometimes we're lucky enough that all the rights happen @ the right time & life consistantly wonderful. then it turns & everythign blows the big one. at one point i hated my job, had literally 1 friend & she was absorbed in an abusive relationship & I had no hobbie. life sucked. (me & hippy musta crapped in the same bowl) i read about 30 books, went on lotsa walks, went out to eat/bars/events alone & I met people. i made fun happen damnit. eventually a few years slipped by, the temporary friends I made helped me through the worst times & then I realized that my job could suck, but it paid the bills - it allowed me to do things i want to do. i still hate my job, but i've found out a lot about myself - not all good - but isn't self learning a good thing in general? you take classes, continue to do that. look @ the community college near you for more. learn a language, join a club focusing on that language (jeesh you're in chicago, they're everywhere). I think i saw somewhere a book about a quarter life crisis - I blamed all the shit on that. now I'm closer to 30 & haven't heard anything on a 1/3 life crisis - so any shit hangin on can & will be delt with. You should know that you have friends (this really means me) that LOVE LOVE LOVE the tarsnick (whatstha?) outta you!! yes, sometimes all the doors are closed, so sit on your ass, suck your thumb & cry till the cows come home. eventually the cows will produce ice cream & food & life will be merry again. So, 3 weekends ago I picked up my gear after it's repack. The new-to-me rigger said he tried to pack it for comfort on my back. This is a very trusted rigger that many people love & trust. I didn't jump the rig for 2 weekends & at the end of the 2nd one I had a different main put into my container by the same rigger. Last weekend (3rd after the repack) I jumped my rig. It is SOOOOO uncomfortable. It feels like there are 2 metal slabs goin up each side which dig into my shoulder blades. I had other people feel the back & they said it feels painful. What can I do? I don't think I can honestly jump this for another 3.1 months, including Rantoul where I plan on doing LOTS of continuous jumping. I pulled out almost all my eyelashes, cause if you found one & blew on it & it dissapeared while making a wish - the wish would come true. I know a few people that have broken their coxis & are jumping now. they do have to be extra careful on landing. another thought - once back start focusing on free flying - that way you don't have to arch. My parents live in FL where I grew up. I tried to move to Seattle for College & they told me to pick somewhere east of the Mississipp, so I chose Chicago. Now I see them for just under 1 wk/year & sometimes that's too often. My closest rel is over 5.5 hrs away & I see them bout every other year & that's plenty. I do talk w/ them bout every 1.5 weeks - just so they know I'm still alive. My b/f has loads of relatives in the area. Now I have stupid family obligations again (b-days, weddings, christenings, holiday dinners, mom guilt trips bout not visitin enough) - blech!! Just had to go to his parent's home for dinner last night. If not for teh people, the dinner was GREAT & I don't have to do dishes after - that's the best part. hella yea. plus, the soap dries on like instantly! the main reasons for doin it in the rain!! plus, it's sometimes fun to have an audience while washin your car (given your in shape & all). Paige, another problem in FL is LOVE BUGS - blech!! During season, you have to wash the car basically every week if not more often - stupid stinkin love bugs & their acidic insides eatin into the paing - blach I think breakin her ankle has gotten Vanillia in a randy mood - recently - yauza!!
