Thank you Gwain & Bo. I've had AT&T for 5 years & hate to leave them - their digital network works so well everywhere. But I've specifically asked if the CSC zip code is in their range for the GSMR network & their reply... "no, you may receive service, but you will be roaming" Everywhere w/in 5 miles of the DZ is covered, but not the dz Thank god for portability... hopefully in July, when my contract is up, they'll be able to do it smoothly. How big will you be when they're done? Is there a proper wingload-type thing for people? Will you weigh the same, but be smaller? I wish it was my body being downsized instead of my job . I was trying to "downsize" under canopy by eating more & advancing the wingload on the same canopy so I wouldn't have to buy a new-to-me smaller one; but learned @ the expo, that it still won't perform like a smaller one would. Yes, landing was safe, though fairly far away. Fun? Well, falling through the sky was always fun, the actual dive thought, was a bit dissconcerting. At least it was outta the Cessna so not too many people observed it. MissImperfect, thank you . Yes, the people @ SDC are great, Missy & Rook are amazingly nice!! And they put on such a great event. I always get so confused when the manager/owner types are silly. Are they being silly, trying to make a statement, am I going to be fired, have I been on the computer too much, do I/he/she/they get a raise/promotion... what's going on. There is no can't. Yes, it was very good. Even if some was a bit dry, I always (well, the 2 times I've gone) learn something. I'm so greatful to those excellent people, high up in the industry for taking the time to come up from their typically southern homes & share with us in the cold. At least the weather wasn't too bad. Yup, we had the twist dial tv until, 1988. My parents would only let us have the dial for 1 hour a day, then they took it off the tv. Never thought to use anything to turn it instead, we just went outside & beat eachother up. Then we got one w/ the push buttons (like a key pad) I thought that was hot!! Didn't get cable till I was 18. Now I can't remember what I did before TV, that I would still like to do. There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. Australia - good food, great beaches, awesome accents, not overly taxed - but the gov't is still more helpful than in the USA, no big gov't, still relatively safe - oh, and the people ROCK!!! Well, if you get past the "small amounts" and then Basically, you just stay mildly drunk all the time. Eventually, people won't even notice and you'll never have a hang over again. I'm O- also! Yea!!! This rocks - & didn't think there were that many of us out there. Esp since O- can ONLY recieve O- blood, there's no leaway w/ other types. I've tried to donate 8 times, 4 times my iron was too low, the other 4, they could only get 1/2 a bag outta me... collapsed both arm veins . I had a long thin dark bruise all up & down both forearms. When did money become a requirement for independent thought? It always has been for peole that aren't necessarily in their dream job. Plus, everything started costing more recently & no one got a raise. however, business was a busy as ever... not getting paid to do extra work. bitter because something else happened like car broke & you don't have money to fix it. mind is on other things & so you think inside the box. many reasons. I know you're not Laurel - sorry if I'm coming off strong. I just feel strongly bout any kind of bad mouthing. Keith, I did read the post. I wonder if SDC would have refunded the jumps in a much faster manner. If not, then either situation would have been the same, she'd have $100 on acct @ CSC or SDC - wouldn't matter the dz. Money @ CSC stays on accounts for years (one of my friends quit jumping for 4 years, came back & his full $850 left from original AFF type class was still there) - that's how most certs work. Can't use it now, fine, use it in 5 years when you have the chance. Believe me, having money you need tied up somewhere it doesn't do you any good SUCKS!! Thats why I do anything possible to use it or sell it. Happens all the time when people don't pay attn to their purchases or schedules. There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. train of thought. b/f accidentlally bought jumps @ the wrong dz & didn't bother to go up to the supervisor to get money back. my friend accidentally bought wrong gift cert for me, rather than complain & try to get my money back (which wouldn't happen at almost any business), I'm going to make the best of it & go to the new salon. if my parents happened to buy me jumps @ the wrong dz, rather than trying to get money back & costing the dz tax money & transation charges, I'd just go enjoy the other dz. mathmatically b bought ax rather than az; therefore, either go to aboss & try hardest to get refund, or go to az & enjoy it anyway. most businesses certificates say they may not be redeemed for cash value.
