LOL...yeah he said he was the drummer or something from megadeath...Chuck was his name I think...lived in a huge mansion not far from the DZ...and invited me and my friend to come check it out anytime we wanted because we had "beautiful smiles" He continued to come out the next day and for a few days after...he drove us NUTS...i remember him looking over my shoulder as i was in the bombshelter surfing and posting on dz.com....all he said was..."whoah...thats pretty groovey...but not as groovy as this megadeath stuff...." *daizey*

The ranch is a great place to do IAF...i did my first 3 tandems there as well as levels 4 and 5. The instructors there are great and they have a really good program. Not sure where you are from, but another great place for aff is Above the poconos in Hazleton, PA...its about the same distance as the ranch from NYC or Long Island..its a smaller DZ...but very personal and very one on one. I really enjoyed finishing my student training there... Ive havent jumped at skydive long island yet...right now I have been splitting my time between the ranch and Above the poconos....all of the instructors at both DZ's are instructors I would highly recommend Both DZ's continue to operate during the winter as well...jsut not as often, and depending on weather... Feel free to pm me if youd like anymore info on either dz

Right now, I love my jobs. For the summer I'm working in a Bakery and a Floral shop.... The bakery is so much fun...baking yummy cookies and breads and decorating cakes all day...its fun! And yummy too...especially when someone "accidentally" knocks over an entire tray of fresh baked warm chocolate chip cookies...can't sell them, and its such a shame to throw them out when they fall onto a perfectly clean floor...that only leaves one option...eating them! The floral shop is fun too...there's just something about flowers that makes ya wanna smile all day...plus i get to make pretty arrangements and play with dirt all day *daizey*

The color in your bridle window for p/c.
Daizey replied to tonyhathaway's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The color on mine has saved me from jumping without my pilot chute cocked... I can't say Ive ever found it out in the plane, but I can say it has helped during packing....Ive gotten all the way to putting the pin in and realizing i didn't see any color then thinking, omg I forgot to cock it.... Not sure if you are just referring to not seeing the color while already in the plane though... *daizey* -
hmmm....Ive met a bunch... I met Tommy Matola and Mariah Careywhen they used to live around here....tommy was a jerk and Mariah wasn't much better....Ill never forget how they used to complain that roads of our little town weren't up to their standards....they got particularly mad when the town did soemthing about it and ended doing something to their driveway when they repaved it....my aunt used to do Mariah's nails....she said shed have to do them over and over again because the light had to play off the color just perfectly...if it didn't, shed have to start over Robin Williams is HYSTERICAL! I met him once when i was a cashier at a grocery store...woman in front of him said "omg are you who i think you are?" he goes "well who do you think i am?" "robin williams??" "Robin Williams? How cpuld you confuse me with that jerk...of course everyone knows Im Derek Jeter-cmon dont the muscles give it away??" she laughed and said "you really are robin williams!" He kept saying no but got himself laughing pretty good I also met Meryl Streep in the grocery store....she didn't talk much...wore a big hat and sunglasses...her family skiis at my local ski area...they dont associate with anyone and they close off the entire area of the lodge where she is. My parents sat next to Daryll Hall form Hall and Oats at dinner one night...that same day woody harrelson (from cheers) came into the store they work in... Ive met Kevin Bacon, his wife, and his son Travis...gone skiing with Travis (hes my brothers age) and he was there when i tried snowboarding for the first time....that night was also the first time i figured out who he was-right after i said no to his offer of a ride home....my brother and i were saying goodbye to him when we saw him get into an SUV being driven by Kevin.... hmm...Oh Harrison Ford and his son Malcolm...Ive seen Harrison around town a bit and Malcolm went to high school with my friend and i partied with him a few times...it was a boarding school..i dont think he did much there besides party...when he wasnt partying though he was REALLY quiet Oh and I met Mary Kate and Ashley Olson...theyre really nice-totally down to earth...they were shopping in old navy when i worked there...theyre not as pretty without makeup-but it was still easy to spot them...but i was surprised to see how well they get along with one another...i helped them find a few things and talked to them a little bit... hmm last person i can think if is Britney Spears...met her back before she really made it big..right when her first cd came out.....she was insanely nice...she talked to and hugged my cousin who kinda just stood there starstruck, staring (and drooling) haha *daizey*

ive met him and see him quite often around town since he has a house not too far away from me (he and his wife are both so nice)...ive also been skiing with his son, travis (also very nice-didn't know who he was till his dad came to pick him up)...a guy i was seeing played on a soccer team with Travis when he was younger...Kevin is good friends with a girl i work with...and my mom used to cash checks from him all the time when she worked in the bank... so depending on how you look at it either a 1 or a 2 *daizey*

Would you put a student out on a Javelin under SB03?
Daizey replied to PhreeZone's topic in Instructors
I can understand the reasoning behind not telling the student about this right from the beginning...but how about if they ask? Take for instance, a student who has heard that there is a problem out there with a certain rig. They really dont know too much about it (including which rig it is) or even the exact problem but they have heard there have been incidents involving it. At this point do you tell the student that the rig in question is the rig they are about to jump? Do you tell them the exact nature of the incidents? Or do you just kind of play it off saying that yes there is a rig out there that may have a problem but it is being taken care of? *daizey* -

30 days for a president....but if its for a vice president its only 10.... I believe President Bush ordered for all flags to be at half staff until the 5th of July... On a side note, have you ever read any of the rules or regulations on flags? They're quite interesting on what you can and cant do with a flag.... http://www.ushistory.org/betsy/flagetiq.html *daizey*
