  1. Anybody know the current status of the M2 in the US ? I understood they didnt need to be TSO'd but I heard recently that they cannot be packed in a container or jumped in USA yet ? Is this true ,and is it a TSO , USPA or manufacturer issue or can non US skydivers jump them while visiting
  2. Only reason I can think of is air pressure build-up inside helmet from air rushing in rear vent . Could push visor out far enough to pop ?
  3. Have you video , who made the tunnel and what propeller and engine has it . Thanks
  4. If the impact makes you cringe , you should see the whole video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ha-l2qCbFms&feature=youtu.be From taking the pilot off jump run and spotting the load down wind , being more concerned with getting cool shots with his gopro than jump-mastering the load , some very dodgy looking freefall , then trying to land so close to the trailer that he didnt have space or height to turn into wind ( if he didnt try to turn into wind he would have got little more than scratches from a fast crosswind landing and his arm would still work ) What happens after though is even scarier , the ground crew take off his helmet , rig and jumpsuit , and sit him up ( very roughly ) After the impact he took and being out cold for 15seconds and not knowing what happened , he should never have been moved .
  5. Ditto . Outstanding customer service
  6. Hope they sorted out the openings . This prototype was a little on the snivelly side http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1571994533169&oid=139399876089729&comments
  7. Has anybody tried putting a Flatlock & CX105 on the G2 yet Can the visor open enough to see with the camera attached . And can the visor clear the flatlock when the camera is not attached ?
  8. AFAIK it operated successfully for about 3 months , then closed for no apparent reason ,
  9. For a mobile tunnel this one sounds pretty good http://www.superflyvwt.com/Unit_Cost.html http://www.ukskydiving.com/airflight_wind_tunnel.htm?c= 250k - 400k 900hp 135mph ( I was using 95mph in Skyventure Manchester last week , 200lbs in tight jumpsuit )

  11. For normal jumping , velo 103 for 40way + I got a crossfire1 139 on risers for $350 . Flys like a pig but opens fast & on heading . With the velo I can sit on breaks and hang up there with the big canopies , but a big slow canopy makes it much easier . Also makes landing off in small tight landing areas with 25lbs of lead much easier
  12. You are forgetting Ueli Gegenschatz legendary 17.6k flight in 5 mins 45 sec ( from 4500' ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6qZ2KlfwDo

  16. Thats Tony Domenico's ( Square1 ) new helmet , Last I heard he was not happy with it and had delayed release until it was perfect . Some might say he was waiting until Project 500 to release it
  17. Whats wrong with a Slip Knot ? Slip Knot
  18. Lemonhead was born in Ireland , (not that we want to claim him or anything ) Has lived in Canada since he was kid Think he holds joint citizenship , what are the rules for qualification ?
  19. Never jumped a crossfire but have heard the openings are pretty good . I jump a Katana and a Velo , but wouldnt use either for 50way+ formations . I borrowed a clapped out bluetrac 140 for Perris 100ways . Opens in 400feet , on heading every time and better glide angle than a 7cell . Flys like shit but bigways are not about having fun with your canopy ! The previous owner of my velo has 10,000+ jumps and used a reserve for a main for World team btw it was raining katanas and velocitys in Perris last May . I brought in one cutaway katana that landed near me , dropped it in packing tent and said ANYONE LOOSE A KATANA ? Somebody ran over picked it up and said "ah no . not mine . the one i cutaway was black"
  20. pretty sure the Swedish ground launch boogie was cancelled
  21. i've had three , not saying what i did was the right procedure but it worked 1# Katana 120 @ 1.8/1 . Toggle snagged on camera . spun into 3 twists , then flew straight down in a slow spiral . Kicked out of twists then stopped turn with rear riser . released riser and canopy started to turn again ? popped brakes , problem solved 2# Katana 120 @ 1.9/1 . Toggle just popped ? Unstowed toggles , then kicking out of twists asap. sorted much sooner before spin got fast . didnt lose much altitude 3# Velo 103 @ 2.2 Toggle just popped ? Canopy went nuts !!! Got thrown around faster than I ever thought possible . Did 4 * 360s above my head , then flew down by me When I caught up with it ( still twisting up) I unstowed the toggles and things settled down a little and left it possible to level the risers and untwist With microline the line should run up through the twists , If it doesnt , well then you could be in more trouble . However in extreme cases it will not be possible to fix the problem without unstowing brakes .
  22. Oh what a party 100 regular jumpers would be about right , Based on estimated total population in millions (no idea how many jumpers is in each individual country) Norway 108 - 4.8m -> ratio 0.044m/person Ireland 51-way - 4m -> ratio 0.078m/person Finland 58-way - 5.2m -> ratio 0.089m/person Switzerland 84-way - 7.6m -> ratio 0.090m/person Denmark 55-way - 5.4m -> ratio 0.098m/person Belgium 80-way - 10m -> ratio 0.125m/person Australia 81-way - 21.4m -> ratio 0.264m/person Austria 24-way - 8m -> ratio 0.333m/person Germany 156-way - 83m -> ratio 0.53m/person Canada 59-way - 33.3m -> ratio 0.564m/person UK 100-way - 60m -> ratio 0.60m/person Poland 45-way - 38m -> ratio 0.844m/person Russia 100-way - 142m -> ratio 1.42m/person Brazil 80-way - 186m -> ratio 2.325m/person
