Yeah,Im fine,(incidents,lowtime low turn lesson).Toms an excellent first jump instructor.Actually everyone out there made my aff and beyond experiences a blast.Was there with a pilot for a student jump out of the Cessna thursday.Kinda hard to stay on the ground and just watch but still a cool place to hang out.At least I aint watchin from the other side of the aqauduct,behind THE FENCE.Its gonna be awhile til Im back at it.If I see that escapee lookin jumpsuit runnin around the dz,I will definately say hi. dropdeded ------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -

Cool,thats where I jump.The first ride to altitude,(tandem),was very entertaining with the guys talkin about first timers and cartons of smokes.I seem to remember an orange jumpsuit maybe two weekends ago,would that be you?The day of the speedstar competition?If so,that was me wipin out with that low turn.Anyways,hope to see ya at altitude someday. We occasionally get an extremely thick,seasonal ground fog and when that shit sets in aint NUTHIN leavin the ground.It usually only sticks around til about 10:00 a.m.so it doesn't really effect a decent day of jumping.It just delays the drive to the dz (35 miles for me).Other than that,weather is only an occasional factor in grounding skydivers here.Oh,and the occasional San Joaquin Valley windstorm,Gods way of sayin,"go home and clean the catbox or sumthin". dropdeded ------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -

Saw a video of some guys takin "Jacko" for his first,and last jump.The video was friggin hilarious as far as the pre flight training and the ride to altitude.They messed around with "Jacko"in freefall but eventually they lost him.It was out over the desert so I dont imagine anyone on the ground could get hurt but the fact they lost "Jacko"kind of made me wonder if the whole thing was safe at all. Does "no harm,no foul"apply here ? How easy is it to lose something like a pumpkin in freefall? dropdeded ------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. - -
