No, but there's this hawk sitting outside my window with some weird box thingy strapped to its back. Wait. That's weird, isn't it? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

So, what do they use now? God, I hate them. You're probably right. I'm probably just paranoid. Everything probably is just as it seems. I'll just move along. These aren't the droids we're looking for. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

To be honest, with all the paperwork I had to sign, there very well could have been a consent to monitor in there. In fact, at my last job, I think it was part of the initial employment agreement (no contracts here in TX for exempt full-timers) - something like, this is the company's property, and we reserve the right to look at your monitor from a remote station, and listen in on phone calls... can't recall if it was in any of the recent paperwork though. You'd think, who has the time, or cares what anyone talks about, but then, you'd be surprised. You're probably right though. I think my mother's conspiracy theories are starting to affect me. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

While on the phone at my new job, I've occasionally noticed a backgroud noise. It's not there for long, and I don't think the other person can hear it - it's a subdued electronic staccato sort of beat. Could it be a random monitoring? Does this mean anything or is it just interference? Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean you're not being watched. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Don't screw with the pizza driver if you plan on ordering from them again. Tip a couple bucks every time, maybe 1 or 2 more for fast delivery, but DON'T stiff him. Or don't wonder why you're doubled up on the toilet after your first two slices. Baked-in, tasteless jalapeno juice is a WMD for your tummy. I always tip servers- I have too many friends in the service industry and that's their bread and butter.

They have a word for that??? Ew. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

One drop, after repeated warnings, as the last resort? And it works? What's the problem? Worst I can see (given the above) is a future dislike for spicy food, which would suck, but think about how well-behaved you'd be... you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Wow. That's so sad. And so scary. I've been out alone at night in London, just to walk a few blocks home, and always felt safe (though I was always wary and alert and cabbed it if it was more than 3-4 blocks) I'm so sorry for you Newbie, and especially for Tom's family. Hope this isn't the start of something... you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Right there with ya' Sunny. I think I know my underlying cause though: ZERO self-discipline. All these things I think about needing or wanting to do: start a real exercise program, eat better, drink less, sleep more, organize my mess...etc. Then I don't follow through because I don't deny myself anything, or I can put it off, get overwhelmed, convince myself I've failed before I've started, and then my self-esteem takes a dive. And then I procrastinate. And then I feel bad about myself... My biggest accomplishment in the past week was getting my oil changed 1,500 miles late. Geez I suck. Where's the biggest charachter strength thread?? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Right on dude. I just posted an incoherent message in Incidents referring to the latest brother off the edge. I've seen the 'old' jumpers and staff at my DZ eagle-eye the new folks and each other in every safety related matter - gear, free-fall skills, canopy and landing skill - and every time they see anything awry, they talk about it to the person in question, especially in questionable wingloading situations. It's not hard. You're at the DZ, your eyes are open, you process and recognize what you see, and you do something about it. Wouldn't you want someone to do the same for you? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Dust off an old copy of Hamlet lately?? No, just lookin' out for those poor folks working in full view of their bosses and cow-irkers...

Doctor arrested after refusing to draw blood from homicide suspect
Rebecca replied to JohnRich's topic in Speakers Corner
Would performing an 'intrusive procedure' without consent violate the doc's hippocratic oath? Like, do no harm? Doc's need to cover their asses these days or they'll get their pants sued off. What if the guy was acquitted and then came after him for violating his privacy? No thank you. I'm with the doc on this one. What if the suspect were unconscious? How would that work? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk? -
No. Whuffos don't go to the DZ. That is why they're whuffos. Go to the bowling alley instead. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

BWAHAHAHAHA!!! HAHAHAHA! HAHAHA! (gasp gasp) MAHAHAHAHA! Regardless of whom you support that's just damn funny! Did he say that with a straight face? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

This one time when I was in Germany in fifth grade and had to ride the streetcar to school everyday I got there early and the doors weren't open yet so I wandered across the street and found a pet store with a chinchilla in the window and I looked at him and tapped the glass and thought he was so cute so then I went back to visit him until he was sold. (embracing my inner spazzy 10-year old) you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Do you think he's done a good job so far? Not 'not bad', but good? Agreed. Which goes back to the good guy/bad guy thing. If anything, they're both bad... you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

There are Republicans who share your POV (maybe not here, but I personally know of a few). I know. I think it's kinda funny. And kinda sad. Did that happen in the last election? Or any election? (not trying to make a point, I honestly don't know) Sigh. I said it before, I'll say it again. Politics suck ass. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Easy there... I do see your point, believe me, I just take issue with the good guys/ bad guys position. I don't think you can categorically call Kerry a bad guy any more than you can call Bush a good guy. They're on different sides, both of which have pros and cons. Do you think Bush has done an outstanding job, and do you think he's the best man for the job (not just Bush vs Kerry, but Bush vs anyone)? I'm not a liberal, I'm a republican as a matter of fact. I'm just not convinced that Bush is the right guy. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
-
That's cool. Maybe I misused the word. I thought he was not exactly far-left (which I suppose you can't be when running for office...), but closer to center? I don't know. I just keep having the horrible feeling that either way, Bush or Kerry, we're screwed. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
-
Yeah, I'm with Zenister here. It's illogical to think in such absolute terms. They're both 'bad' and 'good' any way you slice it. You think Bush doesn't have a vested interest in the policies he's enacted? You think this nation is being kept prosperous under his presidency? (Before Bush, largest budget surplus ever; after Bush, largest budget deficit ever... hmmmm) You think he's not a rich guy who'll be rich regardless of whether he wins? And why is left-wing ideology any worse than right-wing ideology? Or any ideology that's skewed in one direction or another. Besides, I thought Kerry was a centrist... am I wrong? I'm not missing the big picture: we're in deep shit. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Rebecca!!! **hug** Welcome to the flame fest! Hope ya have your asbestos undies on. Mwahahahaa!!! *HUG!* No worries, I'm not controversial enough, and I can generally see most people's POV. And I have a flame-proof shield. So, no reply from the "good guy"? What, are ya skeered? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
