Report Shows Air Quality Improved During Bush Administration

what it is is the continuing retirement of cars from the 80s. There's no doubt that cars are getting dramatically better over the past 20 years, but the benefit doesn't come until the older cars complete their run. exactly, and all thanks to Bill Clinton ... partisanship & the demographics of Speakers Corner

I suspect the hard core members of each team will accuse you of being on the other team. And then proceed to call you childish names to make themselves feel superior. You really shouldn't be expressing political individuality, it's not the "in" thing. ... What an odd topic. I think 'hand on hackey' is a nutty complaint. If your real complaint is a premature toss, then that's the point to make. (and you make some very good points to that position - especially about the opening consistency in the cleaner air away from the plane - the other stuff is basic safety concerns, so it's nice to see a point on performance too) I bet you a dollar that any given jump, I could put my hand on my boc while loading the plane, and then keep it there on the ride up, the walk to the door, the exit, and all the way to dumping. Sure, my "confidence in my ability" will suffer, but I'll live. (Challenge psychology like that only works on the real simpletons). As a passenger, my issue is whether or not the jumper throws the PC too early (or even back into the plane). That is a real problem - I could not care less where their hand is on exit. Actually, I could care less, but not much. As the CrW jumper, I clear and pull - no more, no less - my hand is whereever it might be on that jump - on the PC in the door, or not - doesn't matter. ... nonsense, I was ordering those welding goggle sunglasses. I think they'd make me look like a retired-hat wearing-slow driver. SWEEET The short of it, the costing policies of USPA drive me nuts. I HAVE to pay for a magazine I don't want (actually two in my household we don't want) without the option to delete the thing for a reduction in membership fee. Not offering USPS on these minor manual ships? nuts. The new Coach and PRO ratings (new since I started) are just random adders that don't add value IMO. and more. HOw long did it take for them to get the reserve cycle lengthened? They are running the org for the sake of the org, not the members. Good ideas on this thread about the IRM though in terms of electronic versions. There are a lot of things USPA could do on the internet. It was one reason I liked having Jan on the board, she pitched stuff like that all the time. ... $9 to ship a manual from USPA? Seriously, and this is the cheapest (FedEx normal), not expedited or anything - the expedited shipping was over $20 in some cases, for a binder of paper you have got to be KIDDING me absolutely about the worst scam I've ever seen ... Where did vengeance come into all of this? because, for some people, they can't accept that a difference in opinion can POSSIBLY be motivated by reasons that are not anything other than a base and selfish justification rather. In other words, when you disagree with Bill on torture, he automatically attributes only those character traits that he thinks would drive him to torture. Instead of acknowledging that you might be driven to torture for completely different and, perhaps, a more selfless set of reasons. It comes from assuming everyone is the same..... ... because...... well, just because they don't really care about anyone else, so you can't have an independent discussion about any other individual without Bush and Cheney being inserted - even thought they have their own threads on the same subject already - simply because no one on the left is 'really' guilty of anything without excuses that eventually lead to the other team oh - then Clinton got a BJ (just a reminder that a couple years ago, the exact same stuff was happening, just the teams were reversed). 1 - these parents are dispicable. 2 - "made an example of" - I think that's a horrible idea to give an unreasonable punishment based on this justification - seems to be in conflict with 'equal protection under the law". I hate the whole idea of judges giving disproportionate punishment to 'make a point'. 3 - I do think the punishment should be severe and standardized and should be applied equally to anyone that abuses their kids this way. ...
