BBQ afficionados! How would this go, if it were not racks, but steaks, and BBQ'd, not roasted, and on elk, not venison? Nice :D Speaking as a male, I can tell you that at 19, we are still chock full of stupid and bad judgment. The OTHER head is still firmly in control. And sometimes we need to be told to ease up, back off. I recall a guy who was 19 hitting pretty hard on my niece, who was 13 (though had the height of a 17 year old), at a friends bbq. I pulled him aside and told him that she was 13. His eyes grew pretty big, he apologized profusely, and stayed well away from her for the rest of the bbq. She was a little mad... he was a good looking kid, and she was just getting into liking attention from boys, but, well, he was no longer a boy. Why do things have to have a purpose? The Earth is a place of opportunity, and if a life-form can evolve that sucks the blood out of other creatures and thrive, then it will. Just look at lawyers. Arrogance is hardly a "progressive" (odd choice of words, but whaddevah) monopoly. I think that it is pretty broadly human trait... progressive or not. In my experience, it cannot even be said that one group holds predominance in this trait. I think that what happens is when someone holds similar values to oneself, one is far more willing to overlook these sorts of negative traits.
