CPC/PST 2007 Finals - Colorado
tetra316 replied to ianmdrennan's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Anyone have the CPC results yet? -
Welcome to our world. It's been prescription only for a couple years on Oregon. Finally went and got some from the doc last year. Should be enough to last me through this year.
-
Alrighty, so I asked him about them and he said he didn't know they were there, that she did it on her own accord. Yeah, whatever. He said his friend is into new age mysticism stuff and that is was just magic to protect the house or something. I have a feeling he knows exactly what it is but isn't saying.
-
I think he likes me. I'm the only one of the roommates who received some nuts and coffee as a gift when he got here. Besides he's too smart to be stupid enough to evict us all. Then he would have an empty house to fill while he's in Hawaii. Highly doubt that would be an easy task.
-
Ok, well, I think I have them decoded now anyway . . . Oh oh . . . Whatever you do, don't say "Betelgeuse" three times out loud. Thank goodness for your expertise! I don't know what we would do without you. At least now we can avoid the pierced crop circle obsessed poltergeist.

Consider this, is it possible, just possible, that she, in her strange hippie ways, wrote a little love note for him to find? That the sneeking arounnd was so that nobody would discover them and ruin the surprise? Nope. We think he knows about them. My other roommate overheard him ask her if she had done it right after she was snooping around. She was drawing them while we were talking to him and trying very hard to hide what she was writing from us as she was doing it. The whole thing was pretty obvious.
-
So the markings AREN'T on the wall, but on the furnishings? Are they HIS furnishings or yours? What are the pictures of? Is it possible his hippie girlfriend took or painted the pictures? The markings are on pieces of paper that were put behind the pictures. All the furniture in the living room is his that he left there when he moved to Hawaii.
-
Does that mean the back of the picture or on the wall itself? In the room he was "renting to himself" or the room you rent? One drawing was taped to the wall behind a picture. The second one was just stuck behind another picture. She was snooping around the living room, the common areas we all rent, while he was in the garage. I don't know about you but I don't go to other people's houses and start looking through things and behind pictures. Unless of course I'm trying to find the missing bottle of rum

I was thinking the same things about your posts, Quade. I want you to revisit the photos in question . . . look carefully at the edges of the photos in particular, the left edge of the first one. Does that look to you like it's on a wall or rather that it's on a piece of cardboard laid on a table or something else with a cardboard or plastic tube of some type behind it? Now look at the top of each photo . . . does that look like a wall to you? Of course its not on the wall. We took them down. I took the picture with them sitting on my desk.
-
Lemme ask you this then, if they're SOoooo strange, why did you consent to let them stay with you? If, on the other hand, you actually trust them, then why were you snooping? Bah, this is all just a little too melodramatic. Are you certain you're not just trolling here? As I stated in the beginning it's a LONG story. We do not want him to stay here and have repeatedly told him so. We even went to legal aid to get advice. However, since we individually rent rooms there is no legal way we can keep him out of here if there is a room vacant which is the situation. He is in essence renting the room to himself. Now if all the rooms were filled he wouldn't be able to just come in and sleep on the couch.
-
You would have quietly enjoyed the space and never even known anything was different had you not been snooping on him and his girlfriend. Of course we were snooping on strange people who were messing around with our home!
-
Religious descrimination is protected. I'm not so certain about the right to remain "comfortable" with everything that everyone does. There is a right to remain comfortable in your rented space that is written into the law. It's called 'quiet enjoyment'. Freedom from the interest of another in your space. Look it up.

Never said I was a lawyer nor did I say he could do whatever he wants! I was simply stating my opinion that I feel it's still technically his house. I would think that if he wants to put his and his girlfriend's cartouche on it, ain't nobody's business if he does. You seem to forget the fact the he doesn't live here(after these two weeks). Therefore it is our business. If you rented out a place you owned to someone would you still feel you had the right to decorate it? (I would agree with you IF he was living here but he is not)
-
Of course I'm going to ask about him about it! (he won't be back till tomorrow) I wouldn't have even thought twice about it except for the fact that they had to HIDE it. My other roommate saw the friend snooping around our living room and looking behind the pictures while she was in the living room by herself. We found them after they left. The whole thing freaks me out because they were deliberately hidden. Why didn't they just hang them up on the wall? Are they too ashamed of it to let us know and just hang them? If they are ashamed of it, it makes me wonder what else he is hiding.
-
Yeah I've thought about it! But we really like the house and the area. Plus he'll be out of state in two weeks.
-
I thought you said it was a rental and he was the landlord? Doesn't that technically make it "his" house? But anyway, no. I definately would NOT be freaked out about it. Just out of curiousity, what's his full name and the full name of the girl friend if you know it? Yes it's a rental and he's the landlord. Does that make it okay for him to decorate the house? He doesn't even live in the same state anymore. He's only here for two weeks. Do you think it's normal for landlords to come into your home and start hiding things when they don't live there? His name does seem to be in some of the letters but I don't know who she is.
-
No, I don't know what it is that's why I mentioned both. It's what popped into my mind. But I AM a little freaked out that someone had to sneak around our house and hide it. No matter what it means. Wouldn't you be?
-
I'm thinking it's something to do with new age stuff since he's an acupuncturist and into alternative healing stuff. Plus the way he decorates his house.
-
That's what I have also. Works great!

The background is a long story but the short version is there are a couple of us renting rooms in a house. The landlord is in Hawaii and has been ignoring our requests for certain repairs till he gets in town. Well he is in town now and is staying at the house as we have a empty room. He and a his friend (freaky looking girl with about 50 facial piercings) comes by this afternoon to meet us before he settles in here for two weeks. After they left we found these drawings hidden behind two pictures on the wall. His friend had been sneaking around hiding them before they left. So what the hell do these mean????!!!! And why the hell did they have to sneak around to do it???!!!!

Will the PD guys be doing another skills camp?
-
I know of no dz near water that actually uses them. I wonder how they get around that? Waiver?

I've had a sony vaio for three years and never had a problem. And I would get another. Sony's are expensive but worth it.

Give it a few more days. My cat is a wanderer too. But he is very skittish of people though. I just recently moved and he has taken to disappearing for three days at a time. I keep his food in the house so he has to come back eventually
